  4. New mix online: "Der Tanz Kapitel 1" (The dance - chapter 1): A journey through the strange world of northern soul. Chapter 1: from 50s R&B to mid 60s Soul.
  5. Recent worst experience: Backbeat Records in Edinburgh. A shop so crammed you can't enter. You have to tell the owner what you're after and he will carry the respective boxes outside for you to look through. Went there with my 13y old lad who'd just started to show interest in collecting rocksteady and reggae 45s using his pocket money. Told the owner what we're after. He said he doesn't even bother to show us the rocksteady/reggae boxes. That we would be after the rarities for cheap anyway. I said I'm here with my son who wants to buy some cheap 45s. He said he doesn't believe us and basically told us to f*ck off. Fun fact: apparently this shop is Ian Rankin's favourite Edinburgh record shop.
  6. Nancy Yahiro used to play this 20 years ago
  7. I don't know how to interpret "Unissued british 1967 promo only" but Chapter Five "one in a million" was released in Germany and Italy. Yet I don't think this doesn't really matter. It's a below average cover version and probably appeals to UK completists only.
  8. Paul, all but the last question should be aimed at the promoters. I assume you asked them as part of your research? Care to share the replies?
  9. Mal, yes got caught on Dream Team and Royal Esquires. Bought both from a well known DJ/collector shortly before the quantities came on the market. Pretty obvious he knew about that and tried offload the records before price would plummet. But both have been increasing again price since then. Same for Clara Hardy and Betty Lloyd.
  10. Quantity turn up of Dream Team was at least 10/12 years ago. Price plummeted back then to below 100 quid. I was pretty miffed then as I bought a copy for 400 just a few weeks before all those NOS copies turned up. More recently copies in circulation seem to have dried up. And the flipside is sought after by the lowrider collectors more recently. So no surprise to me that price is going up again.
  11. There are quite a few M- copies of the bootleg on Discogs for sale. Is this a recent pressing? And if it is, why? Any demand for it?
  12. Am not reallyinto reissues, unreleased stuff or mediocre uptempo retro sounds. I'm all for newly recorded slower stuff. So I'd say best label around is Penrose, followed by Colemine.
  13. thanks. didn't know that. Do you have scans of the light blue stock copy? might be worth adding them to the discogs database.
  14. Interesting questions. I always thought I had seen yellow issues of it. But Discogs lists a white demo and a white issue. only difference between them seems to be the "promotional copy" lines on the demo. both pressings are styrene.
  15. What has "the scene" to do with one guy trying to sell a poor record way overpriced? Seriously.

  17. Yes Joe Bloggs can't see anything if set to private.
  18. If you wanna show off what you got on Discogs, there's a much easier way. Simply add those top rarities to your Discogs collection and tell your mates your Discogs ID. They look it up, see what you got. Instant fame.
  19. 13 users on Discogs say they own this. Not sure what to make of that.
  20. Hi Kraftl, yes, that's me
  21. Honey Bees is the vocal version. Instrumental is on the flip side to Jack Montgomery Don't turn your back on me.
  22. Great sets, I really enjoyed listening, even for that sad occasion. By the way, the Emilia Sisco track that Taco played was "Trouble". Fabulous double-sider 45 by one of Finland's finest.
  23. Mark, I see you're still asking customers to pay via Paypal Friends & Family even though you're running a business?
  24. Here's two tunes, both well below three figures, mid to uptempo (i.e. pleasant to all types of dancers), had probably plenty of exposure at allnighters but sure deserve to be more popular:
