  1. Shouldn't be surprised about that considering who the seller is, but anyway... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jackie-Wilson-Somebody-Up-There-Likes-You-Coral/121179095101
  2. Don't know about the tippex ones my copy is fine. But yes, wrong anniversary number. It reads "6T's 5th anniversary" on the label. But it was the 6th anniversary.
  3. I noticed that too. With some auctions you can see how many other people are watching it. I guess it's on .com only?
  4. Discogs pretty accurate for this track: 1) 6t's anniv 45 1986 2) Magic Touch Kent LP 1986 3) Horaces 45 1987 (?) 4) Fabulus 45 2002 5) Kent 45 2003 6) Musicor lookalike (pressing) 2009
  5. Yes, clearly organ with a bit of echo. Still sounds weird though.
  6. why? freebie was first
  7. The belgian press looks like a bootleg to me. I mean, just look at the logo. and the overall appearance of the label. Smells fishy. BTW, I keep seeing an allegedly german press of Jamo Thomas on lists. Can somebody confirm that there's really one?
  8. CDs and later on MP3 sort of "killed" collecting compilation LPs (IMO). I know some guys who tried to get all Soul Supply and Kent LPs. Eventually they did. But that was 20 years ago. Nowadays it's either OVO or pressings or MP3 files.
  9. I agree, getting the complete Kent vinyl set is very hard. Some LPs are very easy to find, others very tough. But the question is: Are there any collectors out there trying to complete the whole set? I don't think so. And if there are, probably just a few Or speaking of collectors in general. Are there any collectors of 80s/90s Soul/Northern Soul compilation LPs. Again, I don't think so. My point is: IMO compilation LPs are completely out of fashion these days. I'm going to repeat myself here. Folks either want OVO or at least a 7" reissue/boot for haptic feeling.
  10. As good as they are, IMO all those Kent and Charly compilations aren't worth more than 10/15 quid these days. Due to demand. Because there isn't much. Folks either want the real deal, or 7" reissues/boots.
  11. Hm, not trying to suggest anything. But is it possible that that specific "intro noise" press was dubbed from another disc?
  12. sorry for hijacking the thread. Here's TG live:
  13. RUBY & MUDFLAPS - BREEZY - JUPITER GERMANY £125 SOLD Vinyl is VG++/EX. Sleeve VG, wol, small soc on back. What a record! Huge demand for this great 70s dancer. Ruby & Mudflaps - Breezy (clip).mp3 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ worldwide P&P from Germany: £5.10 signed for / £7.90 insured (EU only) Payment Paypal only. As gift if possible but not necessary. Please PM for details.
  14. I guess it's just you. Because not grading the "unwanted"/ballad side is nothing recent. This has happened to me quite often even back then in pre-internet times. It's a pain in the ass, I agree.
  15. Steelers - Disturbing thought. Awful intro. Improves significantly after that.
  16. I don't say it's not her. Only that she denies it's her. I guess it's more like she doesn't want to be associated with a commercial flop considering her career.
  17. Thanks.
  18. Just my two-penneth: Candi Staton denies it's her.
  19. Rob, were these labels distributed by Circa from Day 1 or were they picked up for distribution later on?
  20. If seller would have followed the guidelines Ivor's post wouldn't be necessary. What's the point of deleting the price?
  21. I know, I said vol. 24 was the final one. But as I sat in my bunker full of music the other day i realized there's still too many records I never featured in any of my podcast. So here's volume 25. 22. I agree that it's really hard to shift decent lower value tunes on Ebay nowadays. I hardly bother putting them on Ebay. Last few things I had, not just soul, but also some doowop and reggae, went for peanuts, like 1 Euro or 3/4 euros max. Even though they were worth much much more. On the other hand, I had three 70's tunes for sale on SS, each worth 300+. None of them sold. Even with price reductions. Eventually I put them on Ebay, But-It-Now prices at my initial prices. They all sold in the end.
  23. Is the Temptones one the same that Butch used to play ("That's when you know you're in love")?
  24. Not even mock up label. Just Norma Jenkins photoshopped in a picture of the Sparkels. Pathetic.
