I once met a Rock'n'Roll collector at a record fair who sold 'upgraded' 1950's portable record players. 'upgraded' meaning he spent ages improving the tone arm to a) putting much less weight on the record and b) fitting new state-of-the-art needles. He said any 45 could be played w/out any damage. Unfortunately he charged a lot. Didn't stop folks to buy them though.

I just noticed that Julius Wright - Things will change came out on the recent Brent Label Kent CD. Do they say anything about that track in the liner notes? From what I understand it never came out anywhere in the world but on an obscure german compilation LP. Am wondering if that's correct. TIA

If seller doesn't ship to your country you'd still have access to the item in question. It's just that you can't bid on it. As said before, usually items are only blocked if they're illegal in your country.

Don't know what naughty stuff you tried to see. But if certain items aren't allowed to be sold in your own country you don't have access. E.g. as a german Ebay user all Third Reich/Nazi stuff is blocked.

What do you guys think of Album Full Of Soul and Gloria & T-Airas? Both went for about twice as much as I expected.

What label would that be? I never knew it came out on british....
