  3. Isn't Brooklyn Born Rich Rosen?
  4. Easy one. 1-10 Mello Souls 11-99 everything else. (However, Diane Lewis c/up might sneak in at 10)
  5. Would like to date my copy of La Reine La Mar on Cloud, matrix # is ZTSP 106518. Can anyone date it by that? TIA Benji Ignore post. Copied the ZSTP info from Discogs before I had a look at my copy. Turns out there's no ZTSP stamp on my copy. Instead there's a name or something and 1965 next to it. Enough info for me.
  6. Robb, I'm bavarian. We use double negative all the time (for positive) Of course I tried to say nobody can deny it sounds like 100% Detroit.
  7. But IMO nobody can't deny Tootsie Rollers sounds like 100% Detroit, doesn't it?

  9. Well, unless somebody buys it (even Manship lists it at 1/2 of that) it's not a comedy sale. More a comedy offer, isn't it. Same with all the Ebay auctions posted in this thread. Just because some half-witted joker posts a record 1.000x its real value it's not a comedy sale. Unless another half-witted joker bids on it. Just my two cents, thanks for reading..
  10. I'm sure Chalky means they haven't deteriorated at all In my opinion acetates wearing more quickly is just urban myth with today's modern cartridges/needles.
  11. About 7/8 years ago I dj'd at a local soul night here in Munich. During my set a bloke came up to the desk to request any song by Candace Love. Turned out he was an american tourist visiting the city and related to Candace (nephew or so), liked the sound we played and thought such a request might fit in well. Told him I'd like to have a talk with me later that night but unfortunately he had to leave with the group he came a few minutes later.
  12. Yes, a top quality service too.

    Tmg?

Seeing that TMG 45 from Pakistan, does anyone know if they pressed any Motown 78s in Pakistan or India? I know they continued to press 78s well into the 1960s, e.g. some Beatles tracks.
  16. Ramon Bouche. A name to forget quickly. Awful version. Best one is Malcom, period.* * Emma ain't that bad either.

    Tmg?

I.r.o. german Tamla-Motown 45s: The early orange CBS issues had the standard CBS numbers (4 digits), no prefix. The green-silver 45s usually had TM prefix followed by the numbers of their US equivalent. Black label 45s had 'C' as prefix. But that wasn't specifically for TMG releases. All EMI released had that prefix.
  19. If you want the real deal buy the album. As a bonus you get a pretty good down tempo version of Gwen McCrae's Lead Me On as a bonus.

  21. FOUR BROS - LET IT ALL REACH OUT/COOL JERK - CARLA (NM) £100 90 Great and underplayed Detroit doublesider. Withdrawn release and impossible to find in this condition. Vinyl in really pristine condition. Labels clean apart from a very tiny biro dot (<1mm diameter). BACK LASH - THIS OLE HEART - WALKING TALL (NM) £70 60 Unplayed copy of this nice Modern oldie. Original first issue, only 500 copies ever pressed. Same as the later release by La'Que. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ worldwide P&P from Germany: £3.20 standard / £5.10 signed for / £7.00 fully insured (EU only) Payment Paypal only. 22. If the Willie Tee track is a tailor-made it's probably IL's best attempt so far. Rather low-fi sound, weak mix, sounds like it could be a genuine demo. Even if a full orchestra is a bit odd for a demo. And apart from the facts that a) it doesn't sound like Willie Tee at all and b) the backing vocals are 100% Ian Levine style. That cheap echo effect is almost like his trademark.
  23. I like IL's comment in this Youtube vid post. Claims his previous videos have had well over 17 Mio views. Well, this one has only 2.700 in the last 3 years. And it's blocked in Germany as well.
  24. Sold items removed. And here's a YT vid of Pete Lancaster. Such a haunting tune. Only one copy left! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daP4owcjEdg
  25. Agree with Dave, 150/175 for an orange first press. Demand peaked a few years ago. Still a great record....
