Does anyone know if Linda Jones' "Fugitive from love" on Blue Cat and "Fugitive from luv" on Cotique are the same version? Or different versions? Thanks Benji
-
Yes, that's correct. IL is behind this. But I'm talking about who had them pressed for him and who's distributing them.
-
Swirl in the ink just like all the other recent lookalike pressings. I have leads to where these presses come from but can't reveal them until I have some evidences.

yes, general paper glue. When you use a liquid one make sure not to use too much of it. Otherwise record and its inner sleeve may end up glued to the album sleeve
-
Surprised you say super glue didn't work. You talk about album covers split at the seams? I use my kid's glue sticks for that. Works every time.
-
Yes she does.

White is the demo. Issue is bright pink. At least that was my understanding. Any very light pink-ish ones indicate that demo labels were printed right after the pink issues and they didn't clean the printing machine properly. Or something to that effect.

Flushing the loo 10 times for no reason is less waste of time than reporting a bootleg to Ebay. -

Lorraine, I don't know if this was asked before. If it was, I missed it, sorry. Can you tell me anything about Mike & Ray - If only you knew/Private world of my own on Giant 706? I think it's a fantastic record but like the Sandpipers it's certainly not what one would call a soul record. Do you know how this came about? And what audience this was aimed at? I think the backing is pretty strong and has that certain "Detroit" sound even if it's basically only acoustic guitars. Thanks! Benji

Brian, to me, he sings "bring it to you soul" in both videos. They sound like the same record. Only difference the record in the 2nd video plays faster, just a bit. But nevertheless faster.

There sure is some demand for the euro issues as well. I recall french and italian issues fetching quite some money on Ebay over the last 2/3 years. Not £200 of course but close to three figures Euro in some cases.

Shocking news. I remember meeting him in his house in 1995 like it was yesterday. Brought a few tapes with me and asked me if he could record some of his favourite tunes for me. Instead he handed over his DJ box full of rarities and one-offs and told me to pick out and record whatever disc I want myself. And not to forget your rants on your sales lists, honest and outspoken. You are a true character. Bless you John.

Wish they had put this on their ABC album. Great tune. But probably not the sound they wanted on their album. -
