Pete, seems like we're the only ones that think this track is average. I posted it in the sales section @ 20 quid and got quite a few inquiries about it.

And there is also a genuine jamaican green issue.

Thanks for the replies. So I take it, issue is harder to find than the demo. I noticed the copies on Discogs. But as I said, no documented sale. I mean, folks on Discogs can ask whatever they want for their records. The point is, would the records actually sell for the asking price? It's a nice record, but not sure if it's a keeper.....

Picked this up the other day Ruth Davis "I need money" on Kent issue. To my surprise I couldn't find any documented sale of such an issue, neither Popsike nor Discogs. Only white demos. Is the issue that rare? And what would be a fair price for it? Thanks Benji

From my own experience, Andy Mac sums it up correctly: "Just keep them indoors out of direct sunlight".
-
This isn't a "german" Kent release. Most (if not all) UK Kent releases around that time were pressed in Germany. But are nevertheless UK releases.
-
Just a side note: Kay-Dee is Keb Darge's and Kenny Dope's label.
-
Chaumonts very hard to price. Doesn't turn up very often. But I'd say 150-200??

The Metros-Since I found my baby-Australian RCA
Benji replied to Soulboyben's topic in Look At Your Box
Mal, are you referring to the Metros? Because from what I can see in the scan, the "not for sale" part was printed on the label before it was glued on the record. To me it looks like they printed a number of labels and then printed the demo parts on them afterwards. That's why they are not in line. Just a thought... -
Are the unofficial releases just removed from the Marketplace or from the discographies as well?

That's not the right way to look at it. What you bid should be the max. amount you're willing to pay. Not what you'd pay anyway. Example: Bidder A $100 max Bidder B (you) $300 max Bidder c (shell) $350 you lose but you get 2nd chance offer at $300. Without the shell bidder you would have won at $102. That's $198 difference.
