  1. I am. Neither side excites me the slightest.
  2. Thanks for confirming that. For a moment I thought I was making it up. However, I strongly disagree on this being one of Dennis best. I think both sides are awful
  3. wasn't this pressed in the 90s? Reversed labels, white. Contrary to the original, labels correct and black. Or am I mixing it up?

  5. Yes, german Liberty 45. It rarely turns up these days. Most copies in circulation hoovered up now. Discogs says it's also on a portuguese EP. But I've seen that EP for sale.
  6. I sold a copy of the Congress Alley LP on Avco on Discogs a few weeks ago. Now buyer claims it's a misprint and b-side is actually The Stylistics "Let's put it all together". I searched the net but couldn't find any info about this alleged misprint. Does anyone anything about this? Congress Alley was released in 1973 and Stylistics 1974 so rather unlikely they were pressed the same time, isn't it? Thanks!

  9. They simply took a scan of the Jive Five and doctored artist and titled in. Even the production credits are still the same as the Jive Five 45.
  10. Stardust discs were/are not legit. fact. Koppel behind them as far as I know.
  11. Pretty devious, North State is the original local label release of "Girl Watcher". To bootleg the LP only track on the same label is obviously just to fool folks. Here's the Discogs link to the IL bootleg: https://www.discogs.com/de/The-OKaysions-Little-Miss-Flirt-How-Are-You-Fixed-For-Love/release/9880206
  12. A quick Google search would have revealed that UA 50069 is the Jive Five - You're a puzzle
  13. CANIA - VISIONS (TAMMY JO) M- £80 Lovely 1980 in demander. Immaculate condition. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Paypal only (F&F preferred). Worldwide P&P flatrate from Germany: £3.60 standard / £5.90 signed for / £7.50 Fully insured (Europe only)
  14. THE DELICADOS - I CAN TELL/TIME AND TIME AGAIN - HEIGH-HO 640 £15 A-side is a pretty obscure mid to uptempo group soul dancer. B-Side is a low rider sweet soul/ballad. See thread in Look At Your Box here. Below scan and 1:00 min clip of the a-side. sweet soul/ballad flip can be found on Youtube. Even though I quite like the a-side I decided to let it go. Hopefully there's someone out there who can appreciate this record more than me. Price is more or less what I paid for it. I'm sure someone will have a bargain. I mean, it's the only copy for sale on the whole internet (Google told me so) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Paypal only. Worldwide P&P from Germany: £3.60 standard / £5.90 signed for / £7.50 Fully Insured (Europe only) Delicados - I can tell - 1,00 min.mp3
  15. In my opinion pretty obvious why it isn't massive. There's no unique feature in it. Over the years many, many rather common records went massive almost over night. Why? Because they had a unique feature in it that made them stand out. Be it in the rhythm or the melody or the vocals. That Lou Rawls song is nice, infact very nice. But to make it pictorial, it's a fish among many other fishes in a sea of good tunes. It doesn't stand out.
  16. Sorry for the bad quality. These are the real Ambassadors
  17. House party came out in Germany too. At least two times. First on Ariola which I guess ties in with the UK Beacon release (68-ish). Then a second time, on Metronome, in 1971. Don't know if that 2nd release ties in with any UK re-release around the same time? Discogs lists a third german release, on Polydor, late 60s. However the cat no does not match any other late 60s Polydor releases I have. So I guess the listing is wrong and it might be a french or dutch issue.
  18. Here's a picture of the a-side
  19. No Hyman Fenster credited. Publishing is "House of Hanover", BMI. I'm sti'ill not sure what to think of it and what to do with the record. Both sides ok but as I don't collect US 45's nothing I'd keep. I guess I'll put a post in the sales section....
  20. Human Beinz didn't sell so it's not a comedy sale, is it? And it's a very obscure release, probably very rare. Or does the comedy lie in the item description "Human Heinz"?
  21. It sure is earlier than 67. Around 64 I'd say judged by the other side. Attached 1:00 min clip of it Delicados - I can tell - 1,00 min.mp3
  22. Picked this up blind. Anyone know this? THE DELICADOS - I CAN TELL/TIME AND TIME AGAIN - HEIGH-HO 640 A-side is a pretty obscure mid to uptempo group soul dancer. Not the best vocals in the world but pleasing if you know what I mean. B-Side is a ok-ish ballad. Label is New York. But apart from the label address (1674, Broadway) and phone no there's no more info. Tried to find more information via Google but all I could find was a YT vid of the ballad side and that said song was included in a low rider compilation. Anyone with more info?
  23. Same song but different singers!
  24. Plenty of topics here on Soul Source covering that. Just search the site and you'll get all the answers. I'd say general consent in a nutshell is: reissue - legal later issue (later meaning much later, not just a year or two after the first release) bootleg/pressing - illegal later release counterfeit: see bootleg/pressing but with an affort to look like the original legal issue
