forgot to add: IMO worst record that people consider to be a soul record: arthur willis - the hurting is over. 2nd rate Homer Simpson impersonator over a lacklustre amateur-ish backing....

you're soure ????? I think both songs are good examples for proper lyrics that actually tell a story and are way beyond the usual "I love you and you love me" lines many songs feature. especially fortune teller with its twist at the end of the song ("now I'm married to the fortune teller") is one I really like lyric-wise...

I know of a copy tucked away in a collection that is almost certainly for sale. If you don't find a copy now, drop me a line. It may take a couple of days for me to get in touch with the guy who owns it tho...

Steve, got only one question for you: who said (or says) that the beach music scene has to be soul-only? I understand the music played there has a fair share of soul but it isn't and hasn't ever been just soul music, it's all about dancing and having a good time isn't it? I raise my hat for them embracing the music we love but I don't expect them (or anybody else for that matter) to dig as deep as we do in order to unearth unknown soul records. Or did I get you completely wrong and just made a fool out of me?

I got an issue, what would you offer to tempt me to swap it for a demo?

Back in the early/mid 90s I bought 10 copies of Aware of love on the original EEE release. Seller had another 50 or more copies so it can't be that rare. I guess it's hard to find because many copies are tucked away in US beach music collections ...

another way to identify the pressing is by playing it. on the pressing, just a second or two before the recording starts you can hear the crackles and surface noise that was on the original record the pressing was dubbed from.

For Sale! Kings Go Forth - You're The One/one Day - Mr. C
Benji replied to Benji's topic in Record Sales
tell you what, as this is MY sales thread i don't give a pile of shit about what you think of KGF, ok? aren't there already enough other threads about KGF good/bad/whatever? anyway, I just accepted an offer of 30 quid which I found reasonable, so I will close this thread. -
yes, absolutely fabulous. as soon as the day visitors left the village we took a walk around and i felt like a little kid locked up in a toy shop, everything you've only seen on TV before real! food was pretty decent as well, think i had welsh beef with some mediterranean sauce for main course. can't remember starters or dessert but everything was delicious. can't remember which room we stayed in, it was called "bridge room" or "bridge view room" or something like that. above an arch a few meters away from the prisoner shop. non-stop prisoner serious on the telly. though it did cost us about 250 GBP for one night incl. dinner!

Well, I didn't run past the boat but I ran all around the sand patches in front of the boat during ebb tide pretending to be chased by rover Spent a two days for our wedding anniversary there 3 years ago. Lovely place at night when the visitors have left...

All this recent bla bla bla about "You're the one" and "One day" got me sort of getting bored with both tracks now. I've played "You're the one" off CD-R months before relase but somehow it never took off with the punters. Therefore I decided to sell my own personal copy now (Note to all you hypocrites: I don't have a spare copy and I didn't buy it for investment!). Unplayed condition! Seeing this get hyped price-wise I don't know what sort of realistic value I shall put on it (realistic in the sense of realistic supply vs. demand rate). So any reasonable offer considered. Just PM me. Thanks, Benji
