  1. is that john "spaghetti" weston?
  2. no I haven't, I can't get on Dave's site from the office PC. Can you or somebody else please have a look for me?
  3. yes sure, my mistake. just checked it on Manship's site, it was "like a rolling stone" that was released back in the 60s on Carla (flipside to "the gallop") so it's "i belong to you" that came out first on Satiron. Or is "like a rolling stone" on Carla an instrumental take?
  4. Gino Washington - So in love - Atac 2828 must be VG++ or better. Anyone? Please PM TIA Benji
  5. never seen one of these and I live in this f**ing country! But actually I might have seen it in the past but didn't bother with it, Wilson Pickett certainly not one of my favourite singers. I got BDYW on a different album (but same track listing) it's I think from Italy or France or so.
  6. it's on Atac 2828 and according to Dave Rimmer's Gino Washington discography #2829 was released in 1975. I guess it was released around 72/73, it definitely sounds like from that period. But the final question is: WHO'S GOING TO SELL ME A NICE COPY FOR A FAIR PRICE?
  7. Maybe another nomination? Milton Wright - Like a rolling stone - Satiron previously unreleased recording that came out on the flipside of "i belong to you" on Satiron, a John Anderson 70s private press prior to the Grapevine release.
  8. yours was an autographed demo, wasn' it? so "unsigned" issue 200/250 max?? anyway, I'm willing to pay a fair price if anyone has a nice copy for me, at least EX condition. Or shall I post it in the Wants section? BTW, thanks for your replies guys!
  9. Played Gino Washington's "I'm so in love" on my iPod this morning. Despite him struggling to hit every note I just fell in love with it! What a powerful and passionate song, isn't it? Anyway, if I would try to find a copy how much would I have to pay for it? And would I have to search for a very very long time or are there copies out there? I tried to answer that myself and came up with: Q1) 250-ish Q2) yes What do you lot think? TIA Benji
  10. From what I remember despite being released on several labels it's just the one album, i.e. same songs in same order??
  11. Rich, maybe I should have added a smilie to "soul police" as it was meant to light-hearted. I know that general consent was not to include 12". Somehow it's not that easy to be ironic or sarcastic in a different language...

  13. think Pete S had it on his list for 120 recently?
  14. yes Garland Green was on Kent LP first. According to the Soul Police 12" are to be omitted as they are technically no 7" 45s even if they play at 45 or 78 or whatever..
  15. It's not an actual german release. It was pressed in Germany, yes but so were many UK Ace and Kent releases back then. Ace has/had a sub-label called Southbound so this 7" is more likely to be a UK issued record that was pressed in Germany.
  16. has mayfield players - dont start none been mentioned already?
  17. w/out wanting to sound anal, jimmy ruffin is listed twice and wasn't linda jones on an original loma or WB album?
  18. i turned it down @ 40 euros two years ago (now where's the headbanging smilie when you need it?)

  21. LAST BUMP! ENDING TONIGHT! loads of nice collectable 45s, still few with no or just low bids so far...
  22. always thought there is "honest" and its opposite, "dishonest". so you saying he was not totally honest says in book he was dishonest. you contradict yourself IMO... anyway, back to the thread. If I had two copies of such a rare record I wouldn't bother to tell anyone. Imagine you have a lester tipton in your collection and find another, would you price it 25% cheaper than its market value because it's less rare than before you found said spare copy? no, you wouldn't.
  23. I guess most people who bought stuff from me on ebay got bargains
