  1. So are you saying you're not charging the actual postage but "enough" to cover postage, i.e. making a profit on postage? Don't really get that, you can proove you posted the discs but Paypal isn't interested in your evidence? Sorry, but can't believe that is the case. If you want to find out how much insurance postage is why not simply check with the PO? They will be more able to tell you the exact postage rates than anyone on here... That's not true if I understood the Ebay messages right. it's max. postage of $4 per item within USA, too many sellers tried to make profit on postage and charged too much.
  2. Willie Mitchell - The Champion on spanish London? Is it a 70s issue like Chubby Checker You just dont know on spanish London? Or proper 60s one? Have W. Mitchell on german London 45 myself. Unfortunately it's not a real deal 60s issue but from the 70s the same time the black label UK London reissue came out..
  3. I'm trying to get a nice VG (or better) original Chess copy of The Valentinos - Sweeter than the day before. This will be a christmas pressie for a friend, but can't afford to shell out loads so I hope that 60/70 quid will get me one??? Here's hoping...
  4. I think I got a copy of Stranger cole - Til my dying days (or something like that) in the sales box. You want that one?
  5. it's "determination" by they fabulous apolllos
  6. I think it's a nice record, good production. I understand it's a test pressing so there must be some run-out details that may help to identify it?
  7. How about Bill Black's Combo - little queenie? A classic from the real past and as it happens I have a copy of the very rare german London release for sale (very reasonable priced) ...
  8. I'm afraid I disagree, had two copies of Harlem Rumble myself and seen it listed every there and then, yet it took me 5 years to get a copy of the Chaumonts and I've only ever seen one other copy anywhere. But anyway, Tough girl or Michigan Move are far better examples for rare instrumentals...
  9. Pretty popular, pretty expensive but not very rare: Harlem Rumble Not as popular, yet cheaper and rarer than Harlem Rumble: Chaumonts - Now you've gone
  10. you're joking, right? Or is there an instrumental of it?
  11. Do you guys think it's pointless to ask for a (very) good quality MP3 of Mello Souls? The one I have is of rather low quality but the only one I got hold of and WCMI is sure one of my alltime favourites...
  12. Thanks a lot, I got a white demo but I think I'm safe on that, isn't there a stamp or something? Was it booted on issue as well?
  13. I used to have it on a styrene Vault white demo, record was m- yet it played loud but with some sort of distortion.
  14. Can somebody please enlighten me about the differences between original 45 and bootleg 45 of Gene Chandler's I can take care of myself? Has it ever been booted on a white demo? TIA Benji
  15. Seconded. Pure Northern Soul, one of my alltime favourites.
  16. and the year before last year, and the year before the year before last year ....
  17. He's mentioned here as well /index.p...st&p=939557 real name Joe Giattano
  18. Dick Hafner - fantastic Pop beat ballad. I like that sort of dramatic big band backing track stuff. But compared to George Freeman it's poo
  19. It's not on Whittier but on Chattahoochee by the Four Winds and it is awful! don't know about that Dick Haffner version, is it any good?
  20. Yes but the person selling on Ebay (Brooklynborn, forgot his real name) is connected to Rich Rosen in a way. That was confirmed when the Johnny Watson repros came on the market. By the way, who was "the guy from Cumbria" mentioned earlier that flogged the first copies for over a grand?
  21. I'd thinks so too, but it appears that some so called collectors know FA apart from the difference between 7" and 12" records.
  22. Here's a quote from Dave Rimmers JW discography: Valise 6915 - Is This The Real Thing / Give A Damn - 1998 Although originally recorded some years earlier, these singles were unreleased until the late Nineties when the label owner was persuaded to press copies up for the Northern Soul scene.
  23. ok, but this is a demo???
  24. Tony et al: it's not on to quote and discuss prices in this thread, this is "Wants" and not "Look at your box".
