  1. And which record you're talking about? Does my head in not to spot that obvious bargain
  2. Does somebody know any decent Ska/Skinhead Reggae 45 shops and stores selling "not so obvious" DVDs (i.e. UK/US B-movies, cult series/movies, etc) in central London? I'll be travelling to the 100 Club anniversary this coming saturday and have a few hours to kill before the do starts. Any shops based in/around Camden Town would be perfect as that's where I plan to go first TIA Benji
  3. On the "This old heart of mine" album only I think?
  4. It books at 2 - 2.5K so about 760 quid for that copy is more like a bargain in comparison. I recall an EX copy being sold for 2K here on Soul Source...
  5. Ending tomorrow (tuesday): Laura Greene - Moonlight, Music in you - RCA W/D -- Neil Sedaka - Too late/I hope he breaks your heart - RCA W/D -- Ghetto Children - Don't take your love/It's not easy - Roulette D/J -- Lot of 25 Northern Soul Reissue 45s Please click here Thanks for looking! Benji
  6. A few years ago I used a kitchen knife to "brutally" open a parcel sent from the UK. Packet was a UK style one, i.e. I expected two cardboard stiffeners inside. Problem was, seller obviously tried to save costs by not including any stiffeners, so I ended up with a nice record, vinyl intact but a deep scratch all over the label, from one side to the other....
  7. Everythings works fine to me using Firefox, copy/paste and going back/forward again. I can even save pictures again. I upgraded Firefox last night, maybe that's the reason?
  8. Can't supply more detail but at least I can confirm that it's the Charmers, alternative take (different lead vocal).

  13. Just played around a bit, using the old and new views on the very same auction. You can save/download pic's on the old view but no longer on the new view.
  14. At least two different cuts I recall. The acetate that Andy Rix turned up had a nice flip too, "in one ear and out the other".
  15. I recently noticed that too. Tried Firefox and IE, couldn't save pictures using both. There's a work around using the source code of the auction page but rather inconvenient. Would like to know why Ebay made this, I mean it's not that somebody's auctioning rare .jpegs is it? Ebay manages to introduce an new annoyance almost every week, don't they?
  16. Obviously was typing faster than I was thinking last night. Now it makes more sense IMO...
  17. Dave, thanks for the info about The Flyers. Don't know about origin of the group itself but the song was written and produced in Berlin, West Germany as a a matter of fact. Just bought one blind after I had seen it mentioned here on SS. You're right, great 70s dancer. I understand german-only release on 45? (apparently it came out on LP somewhere else)
  18. Can somebody please help me with current prices for: Flyers - Mainline is sunshine - German Toledo 45 Jackie Lee & The Raindrops - There goes the lucky one - UK Ember 45 TIA! Benji

  22. Doesn't it have Chris Clark on flip? I seriously doubt that Stardust has and had the rights to all the tracks they brought out. Most of the early releases had a rather common pop hit on the a side and a rather obscure northern in demander on the flipside. Rather shady in my opinion...
  23. Easy to explain, Ronnie and Robyn are poor second rate singers, even for someone like me who doesn't need his Northern Soul to be served by black artists if you know what I mean *. Sidras Theme is a fantastic powerful full production Northern Soul gem, but the vocals spoil it completely. (* Two of my alltime favourites happen to be by white artists and from Detroit too: Sandpipers - Lonely too long and Mikey & Ray - If only you knew, both on Giant. )
  24. I'm pretty sure it's a bootleg label.
