Are you really sure about the LRC reissue? I think I used to have it at one time but can't recall Bobby Valentin being on it. Very low sound quality wasn't it?
"Use it before..." also came out a few years ago as part of the Vampi Soul "Explosivos" 10x7" box. Official legal reissue in superb sound quality. If you're into Latin Soul I recommend the whole set. It's long deleted but turns up here and there...
I bought the CD the other day, it's a 4" solid centre 45 rpm record. Wish it was vinyl but it's just crappy plastic. I recommend to put the song onto CD and stop playing the disc to prevent it from wear. my copy plays through but there's a tiny little scratch and it jumps after about 8-10 secs into the song.
Nice gimmick tho'.
Been carrying it around in my DJ box for the best part of the last 15 years but only played it once or twice when it was requested. But wouldn't sell it either even tho I would make a huge profit seeing the current going rate and what I paid for it back in 1994.
Anyway, back to the question: I'd rate it @ 200/250 ...
One could say you're talking about a completely different track. TKOB is all but "only a nice soul ballad". Atmospheric big production mid tempo dancer more like. And the remix is way too hectic IMO

There's also a counterfeit of Otis Smith with the correct flip ("alley full of trash" or whatever it's called). Bootleg has a rather pale looking photocopied label
180 quid for L. Allen on Green Dolphin at my first ever UK allnighter, the 100 Club back in 1994. Did National Service at the time, so it was about a months pay...
As you all know the Northern Soul scene not just started in England, it started in the North and Midlands so make sure your record dealers don't sell any of your precious rarities to any southern poofs or even worse some welsh sheepshaggers or scottish *please fill in your own favourite scotsman insult*
Pete, even if I were living near your house I couldn't pick them up due to lack of space in our flat (2 kids, 2 cats, 2 record collections and one comprehensive comic book collection).
