  1. Everything now sold, topic closed. thanks!
  2. Got my copy of the hardback print earlier this week. Like Pete S I read it in one go. Fascinating read and a real labour of love. Well done! The memorabilia and the 7" freebie were a real treat. Highly recommended to anyone who is able to read and at least a bit into Northern...
  3. Updated and thread title amended. Sound of Soul is really highly recommended, give the soundclips a listen!
  4. Question to Mike or to me?
  5. Kev, thanks you're a star Looked up on iTunes, found it, said it's on a Kent CD. Went through my Kent CDs and eventually found it. Dave Hamilton's Detroit Dancers vol 2, Jackie Dee - Who, unreleased 1981 production. Love it. Now where's the nearest carver?
  6. Even though my sound clip isn' the entire song I can see Mike's reasons in removing it. Please post in Members feedback if you want to discuss it...
  7. Hi Dave, sorry no Berlin for me, family commitments. I'm sure you'll have a blast. Don't think it's a Keb Darge production. I know I've heard it before but can't place it FFS
  8. Bump, link for soundfile now added. Anyone?
  9. As much as I love the What's your game side it's not really a dancefloor record. The mix is way too messy for big speakers. If I had a copy I surely wouldn't dj with it. Never heard the flipside before and the lower delta number one is great. The other one's shite. I understand the copy on Ebay has the higher delta number?

  13. Jackie Edwards "Oh Mary": anyone with a current value for this? What label did it come out? TIA Benji
  14. And here's a scan of the orange CBS company sleeve used for german Tamla-Motown issues if they weren't issued with proper picture sleeves or for later press runs. The scan shows the rarest and most expensive german Tamla-Motown 45, Temps "my girl" sung in german. Wish I had a copy
  15. Apart from proper picture sleeve there were two different company sleeves used for german Tamla-Motown 45s. The first one was on orange CBS and is the design used for the b/w copy. Attached scan of the later sleeve they used once they did set up the german Tamla-Motown label (65-ish?). The orange CBS sleeve you don't see that often, the brown Tamla-Motown is rather common.
  16. I'm not surprised. I played the clip only once but it literally blew me away
  17. If you want to get back to basics stop posting in the Sales thread and start sending out paper printed lists. I welcome the idea of feedback both from a sellers and a buyers point of view.
  18. It's french. BIEM is the french copyright authority. Nice one!
  19. That sleeve is a straight b/w copy of the company sleeve used for german Tamla-Motown releases.
  20. Neil, did you get my PM? Paid the deposit back in October and haven't heard anything ever since...
  21. A very knowledgable Motown expert/collector (I forgot his name) once said that there are definitely more acetates of FW around than actual issue copies. I wonder how many Northern records could claim that there are more acetates in existence than pressed vinyl/styrene copies?
  22. Bob, thanks a lot for the write up. Will check out the interview tonight. Calvin & Twilites is a big big favourite of mine (both sides). Any chance of picture of the group?
  23. Nah, that's run by a grumpy old geezer
  24. Only one from me that I heard in 2009 and thought I'd forgotten how good it is: World Column - So is the sun c/o Dave Thorley @ Bamberg Weekender
