  3. Never seen that scan before. BIEM and GEMA on the right hand side indicate the album was meant to come out in Germany and France as well.
  4. I think I have that album too (or at least I used to have it), doesn't it have "let it all reach out"? Credited to the Four Pros on 45.

  6. No it's "This is Northern Soul", b/w cover. Stuff like Arin Demain, Empires, Silhouettes, etc.
  7. I have one of the very first Goldmine CD Northern compilations on tape. Forgot which one but I do remember that the tracklisting didn't match the actual tracks on the tape, just like on the CD. does anyone know which one I mean?
  8. Guess you're right To me it brings back many happy memories from when I was a regular DJ on the german Scooter scene. It was a big tune for myself for some time as an alternative to Chuck Jackson (which was massive at that time).
  9. Have seen it for as much as 75 quid but I think 20-30 is reasonable.. In my experience the belgian one is harder to find than the dutch release on Negram, especially with an intact pic cover. Speaking of picture cover: If anyone is having a belgian decca copy w/out pic sleeve. I have a spare sleeve for sale. Anyone?
  10. Unfortunately a deal fell through in the end. Record is still available. Anyone?
  11. Sorry, all 45s listed are sold/traded by now...
  12. Pete, this one above doesn't sound like RH at all, more like Lou Johnson? You're sure it's Roy? Brill compilation by the way!
  13. You're right, no date on the label. I wrote 1983 on the sleeve but can't remember where I got that info from. I think either from the delta no or didn't one of the recently auctioned test presses have a date on the label?
  14. yes, 1983 according to the label. Another goodie is Family of Eve - Please be truthful. Doesn't state any year on the label but the flipside sounds very 80s IMO.
  15. I I had the chance to buy a complete set of all worthwile releases of a major label and an indie label I'd choose RCA and Shrine. Both cover about everything I like in 60s music from the US ... and I would live happily ever after...
  16. A few early/mid 80s tunes from my collection Rideout-Someone special, Cania-Visions,Executive Force-Midnight lovin,24K Gold-What future holds, James Tuten-This is a love affair,Reachers-Do my own thing
  17. Deeper Shade was a 6ts Soul/Mod night that ran every 2nd thursday from 1997 to 2008. Music policy After we called it a day in early 2008 we have some sort of reunion nights once or twice a year. Last thursday we had the first proper reunion for 2010. Here's what I played in alphabetical order. Tried to play nice quality oldies with a few surprised blended in. Especially the 70s bits went down very well to a predominantely 60s/Mod crowd. 60s BERNARD WILLIAMS - IT'S NEEDLESS TO SAY BOBBY HUTTON - COME SEE WHAT'S LEFT THE CASUALEERS - DANCE DANCE DANCE THE CHANTS - BABY I DON'T NEED YOUR LOVE DICKIE WONDER - NOBODY KNOWS THE FIESTAS - THINK SMART THE FOUR PERFECTIONS GENE TOONES - WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT GEORGE FREEMAN - DOWN AND OUT HERBERT HUNTER - I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU THE INVITATIONS - WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME BABY JAMES BOUNTY - PROVE YOURSELF A LADY LARRY ALLEN - CAN'T WE TALK IT OVER LITTLE GIGI - I VOLUNTEER THE MASTERS - I NEED YOUR LOVE THE PARAMOUNTS - I WONT SHARE YOUR LOVE PATTI & THE EMBLEMS - GONNA LOVE YOU A LONG TIME SANDY WILLIAMS - PUSHING A GOOD THING TOO FAR SHIRLEY EDWARDS - DREAM MY HEART SOUND OF SOUL - WRAPPED UP TIGHT TIMOTHY WILSON - LOVE IS LIKE AN ITCHING WORLD COLUMN - SO IS THE SUN THE YUM YUMS - GONNA BE A BIG THING ANTHONY HALL - BABY GIRL OF MINE DOUG BANKS - AIN'T THAT JUST LIKE A WOMAN JOE PERKINS - RUNAWAY SLAVE JUSTIN JONES - DANCE BY YOURSELF LARRY DAVIS - I'VE BEEN HURT SO MANY TIMES 70s CAVIAR - NEVER STOP LOVING YOU CLOUDBURST - I'M LOVING YOU EDDIE BILLUPS - SHAKE OFF THAT DREAM FAMILY OF EVE - PLEASE BE TRUTHFUL THE INNERSECTGIN - LET ME LOVE YOU LIFE - TELL ME WHY THE LOST FAMILY - BLOW MY MIND MARSHALL, DONOVAN & BROOMFIELD - SINCE I FOUND MY BABY MIND & MATTER - I'M UNDER YOUR SPELL THE PAGES - HEARTACHES AND PAIN PATTERSON TWINS - GONNA FIND A TRUE LOVE THE PERFECTIONS - CAN THIS BE REAL UJIMA - I'M NOT READY VEDA - WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT WILLIAM BOSTIC - WHAT YOU DO TO ME WILLIE J & CO - BOOGIE WITH YOUR BABY Any comments welcome!
  18. I'm sure you'll change your mind if you get stung with paying $$$ for a bootleg because you didn't know better.
  19. how about contacting Ebay and telling them why you refuse to pay for the record? am pretty sure they'll deal with it in your favour: auction will be cancelled/withdrawn/whatever. buyer gets a warning. case closed.
  20. $2.8K Buy it now isn't "quite cheap", is it?
  21. Gary, if I were you I'd try to get the Curtis Smith mis-press. Far cheaper, 15-20 quid should get you y copy, and as a bonus the brill underrated dancer "the living end" on the flipside. Actually "living end" is the better side IMO.
  22. Are you planning to keep the kebab for yourself or do you want to sell (part of) it? I'm sure there's a market for good quality 2nd hand kebab somehwere in this world...
  23. could have been worse. Imagine the fishnets' colour wouldn't have matched the collar.
  24. I'm not into hip hop at all but I remember when that track came out (mid 90s?) it stuck in my mind ever since. Don't have any clue where the sample comes from but they really knew how to use it. agree with you, fantastic track... hasta la vista...
