  1.
  2. isn't the previously unissued vocal take on the flip? Was this ever issued or is still acetate/EMI disc only? How about Chaumonts - Now you've gone? Proper instrumental that I'll never get tired of listening to.
  3. Be careful, some R&B dislikers will call it Jamaican Country & Western soon
  4. Have you got your copy at hand? If I remember correctly they were all numbered individually and stating the total number of copies pressed? And yes it was 25, that's what I paid for the first copy, got a good deal from Chris when I ordered a few more copies for my mates. Ken, you're right. Sound quality not the best. It varied from track to track, so were ok, some really bad. As they apparently were taken off a C90 tape it doesn't surprise me But what still puzzles me, why did they include Eddie Holland - Outside looking in? The only track previously issued. Was it so in demand back then?
  5. Dont know if there were just 100 but it was very low three figures (200/300?). And it was £25 each back then.
  6. If it was released in Germany I would have seen/found a copy by now. Been searching for it for quite some time. I think it's safe to assume it never came out over here. What's the LP like by the way?
  7. Nottingham is correct. I know who did them but don't know if it's ok to post any names. Came out either 1993 or 1994. Volume Two never done.
  8. Are you sure this came out on german Stax? Been told a few years ago that it did. But when a testpressing of the supposedly german release was for sale last year it turned out it was just pressed in Germany for UK Stax. So can anyone confirm that it came out in Germany?
  9. As RefoSoul is still not up and running again, can somebody help me out with a soundclip of: Daniel Skidmore - Listen to the wind - Parkway (flip to little old groovemaker I think) Don't need a full clip, 30/45 sec one absolutely ok. Please send either by PM or email to: benji(at)muenchen-blau.de (replace (at) with @) TIA Benji
  10. Manship's price is like . Certainly a case of more money than brain cells IMO. 350 max even tho I thought it had peaked @ 300 a year or two ago.
  11. Blue Rock 4087 (WD) Timothy Wilson Love is like an itching in my heart
  12. Rob, it is sung in german but you have a dutch issue, not a german. First issue was german CBS.
  13. EX or better copies sold for 2K at least two times in the last 3/4 years.
  14. don't see anything wrong with that listing. VG+ grade is for the vinyl only and if you play the clip you'll hear it really plays fine.
  15. It looks cool but it's a home made one.
  16. edit. didn't see Mick's post.
  17. I understand that it's a general rule not to post mp3's apart from sales to avoid any problems at all. Hence a 30 sec clip is a no-no. But to really take down a 30 sec clip is a bit anal IMO. Think it's time to amend the board rules and to allow mp3s of up to 20/30 sec length.
  18. Sometimes records are like London busses. You can't find a copy for ages and then two turn up within a few days. This is the one everybody's looking for. No 45 release anywhere else in the world. This sure has started to dry up especially in playable condition. EDWIN STARR - I JUST WANTED TO CRY - GERMAN TAMLA MOTOWN SOLD £80 including 'signed for' post worldwide! Vinyl VG++, sleeve VG (bit worn but still enjoyable item) Went for £123 on Manship's! PM please to reserve. Payment Paypal only, as gift preferred
  19. it's a bootleg from mid/late 90s. I had one too at the time. I think they came with blank labels originally. It looked so boring that Dave McCadden printed a mock UK TMG label scan in his Soul Galore fanzine for readers to cut out and stick on the record.
  20. Would a irish Probe release be so unusual? I have it on german Probe, ties in with the UK Probe reissue ca. mid 70s. And if they released it over here in Krautsville why not in any other european country aswell? Wouldn't be surprised if it came out in France, Spain, Italy, etc. too
  21. Just spotted this on Ebay, dutch release:
  22. You're right, this isn't one of them. Actually I know of only one collectable* Sammy Gaha release "Thank you thank you" which came out in France and later on in Canada.
  23. I think there can be only one answer - No
  24. Do yourself a favour and use the adjective "written" as in "written by ..." for your description, "wrote by ..." is just plain wrong.
  25. Why should a 2nd press state a different year? Year of copyright was still 1990. Also I'm pretty sure that 1st and 2nd press are indistinguishable. Must have been only a few months or less between them.
