  1. For sale: NINA SIMONE - TOUCHING AND CARING - BELLAPHON 7" (GERMANY, with PS) SOLD Sleeve and Vinyl NM. By far the "bestest" copy I ever seen. Modern Soul classic. German and spanish 45 only release. This is the much rarer german issue. £50 incl. worldwide registered P&P Paypal only, as gift if possible. Please PM if interested Thanks!
  2. Yes, I ran labelscans.anorakrecords.de. Took down the site earlier this year as I thought it had run its course by now.
  3. Great podcast! Some truly awesome tracks. Can't wait for pt.2!
  4. Flynny-san, both presses are a bit cheaper this days. I'd say about 400 max each. A golden issue went for $516 just a few weeks ago.
  5. For sale: NINA SIMONE - TOUCHING AND CARING - BELLAPHON 7" (GERMANY, with PS) SOLD £50 incl. worldwide registered P&P Vinyl and sleeve are in lovely shape, at least EX if not better. Best copy I ever seen. Modern Soul classic. German or spanish 45 only release. This is the much rarer german issue. Paypal only, as gift if possible. Please PM if interested Thanks!
  6. I'm an accountant and as a german born w/out any sense of humour, how can i help you?
  7. I almost facepalm about the inflationary use of M- or NM. Both grades mean practically unplayed (give or take 1 or 2 spins). How likely is a 40+ years old record to be unplayed? When I'm selling the best grade I use is EX+ apart from the rare occasions I stumble upon a really unplayed record.
  8. Anyone remember the John Anderson interview in the Big Daddy mag? He mentioned quite a few of todays classic rarities he literally had to sell for a quid each or even throw them into soul packs because nobody wanted to buy them.
  9. Sorry, I'm lost. Can't see any picture of any Thornton Sisters on Cuppy. Just pictures of a group called The Thornton Sisters. BTW, just played I keep forgettin and Big City Boy after each other. They sound miles apart.
  10. which pictures ???
  11. Thanks guys for your valuable input, I guess you were posting while scanning the sleeve for me?
  12. Doubt such a list exists (yet). And it would be very very hard work to compile one. Countless number of previously unreleased tracks over the years....
  13. Google'd a bit (as you do when in the office ) and found this article here. See comment at bottom of it, looks like it's not "the" Thornton Sisters on Cuppy (not that it really bothers me to be honest)
  14. Marc, I clicked all links but still can't see any evidence they're talking about the Cuppy 45 and not the Bobsan one *puzzled*
  15. Marc, the YouTube vid linked to the comment is no longer available. You're sure she talks about "I keep forgettin" and not about the other release ("Big City Boy" wasn't it?)
  16. I got a nice copy of Kim Weston "Helpless"/"Take me in your arms" on dutch Artone (GO. 42 643). It looks lovely but would look even better with a sleeve! Can somebody help me out with good quality scans of either just the front or, even better, both sides of the original picture sleeve? TIA Benji
  17. Doesn't surprise me at all. Well known dealer once bought a VG+ record off me via Ebay only to advertise it on here as M-. Seems like some sellers think it's ok to overgrade records on here because we're all mates, aren't we?
  18. Close to 4 figures in $ on Ebay
  19. Surely not. But I also wouldn't relate the price tag on said site to this 45. 200? FFS...
  20. Glad you guys like the Julius Wright track. And Ken's disliking is a seal of quality to me
  21. At least the scans are the same
  22. Quite a few unplayed/NM copies of Executive Jam have turned in the last few months. Suspicious.
  23. Is Just another dress rehersal vocal or instrumental on the LP? Vocal on LP, instrumental take is acetate only. Just found the old thread about the album
  24. Used to have this album long time ago. I recall, Christ Bartley sang on some of the tracks.
