FOR TRADE ONLY: NEVILLE BROTHERS (aka Ivan Neville) - DANCE YOUR BLUES AWAY - COOKIE (w/ picture sleeve) - 400 GBP Sleeve and record in lovely EX condition. No flaws apart from a small sticker on the sleeve. Both side correctly labelled. Comes with the ultra rare picture sleeve which proves that this 45 was actually credited to the Neville Brothers and not just Ivan Neville like most think. As good as this record is I've grown a bit tired of it recently. So I'd like to trade it for 1 or 2 other Modern 45s of equal value. Anyone up to it? Please PM for further discussions

Maybe via publisher's acetate? I understand that was a common way for them to promote their songs.

Many thanks for explaining AI and ChatGPT in this context. Was thinking about doing something like this myself but struggled to find the right words (mind, english is not my first language). I think the most important feature about this AI is that it doesn't just return any information available on the internet 1:1. ChatGPT is not a search engine (even though search engines are also AI). It reads information, analyzes it and draws it conclusions. I use AI in my daily work. But only very basic AI's to detect clusters in big data. I find ChatGPT both fascinating and frightening.

And he missed another release of the "good version", german Metronome. Never take Manship as gospel.

You‘re absolutely right. Modern day press. Pretty obvious. Have to admit I never look closer at the label scan on Discogs. Should have done so.

Many thanks! here's just a YT vid for reference in case anyone's interested in hearing Betty's version. Very sparse compared to Ben's take. But yet fully produced so not a demo take. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUwdvqrcQiU

Betty Everett - No place to hide Sparse but nice cover version of Ben E. King. Does anyone know what the first vinyl release was? Discogs lists a 45 on Sherry Hill but that 45 looks like a boot to me. I guess first ever release was on a 1977 best of comp. Discogs entry for the 45: https://www.discogs.com/de/release/2876113-Betty-Everette-No-Place-To-Hide-People-Around-Me Discogs entry for the compilation: https://www.discogs.com/de/release/7177491-Betty-Everett-Woman-With-Soul

I was cleaning out an older external HD the other day and came across a folder with 60-ish unlabelled mp3 files of what appears to be modern soul classics transferred from audio tapes. With the great support of Chalky we managed to identify and label most of the files but 4 songs are left that we couldn't recognize for what it's worth. Can you help? I attached 60 sec audio clips of each song. Thanks a lot for your help! #12: #12.mp3 #32: #32.mp3 #33: #33.mp3 #34: #34.mp3

As title says. With or without picture sleeve. Must be at least VG. Please pm. Many thanks!

From what I understand Cameo-Parkway Records was set up in 1963, hence (c) 1963. Before 1963 it was just Cameo Records.

Does it really matter who he is? And if he owns all the records he posts vids of?

Anderson Brothers - I Can See Him Loving You
Benji replied to Soulfulshoes's topic in Look At Your Box
sorry for hijacking but this sounds very interesting. Am I right that you assume that 340 is some sort of customer ID used by the Oneida record plant? I just went through the Discogs list. Releases are right across the whole board of popular music. So I don't think 340 is linked to a specific client/customer. I guess this is just a sort of generic number used by Oneida. Maybe used each time a customer didn't want to have their names/addresses in the company's accounts? -
EULA COOPER - STANDING BY LOVE / I NEED YOU MORE - NOTE (yellow issue) 100 GBP classic crossover side "standing by love" plays and looks a solid EX. The fantastic slower flipside plays a nice VG++, just shy of EX. A few hardly audible scratches for the first few seconds. Both labels clean, no writing, wear etc. I PREFER TO TRADE THIS 1:1 FOR ANOTHER NICE CROSSOVER RECORD Price includes registered shipping worldwide. Payment Paypal F&F. Thanks for looking!
