Yep, different takes. You can already here it when they start singing the first "yeah" after "good news in the morning". On the 6Ts anniversary 45 one singer sort of fades into "yeah". On the acetate it's a seperate word if you know what I mean.

Just played the sweet side on YT. You're right it's a killer, soooo good.. Almost like they recorded that side first and ran out of talent when they recorded the uptempo flip.

The one on the SSS album is the vocal take. I assume SheffSoul is after the unreleased instrumental? Edit: Mixed up some titles. "Just another dress rehearsal" is a slowie and probably not the one SheffSoul is after. The unreleased instrumental take of "Ain't got no love" (also on the SSS album) was falsely credited as "dress rehearsal". is this the right one?
