  1. From a collector's point of view Cunnie is right and I see why he's upset. He bought the record on the understanding of a limited release, something that appeals to many if not most record collectors. From a record company/business financial view Expansion is right to press up more copies to satisfy demand. lose-lose situation IMO. I'm with Cunnie though.
  2. My rule of thumb was/is that the big "A" is black on the boot and red on the original. But are also red "A" boots around?
  3. Looks like my original. Boot has black "A" from what I remember.
  4. That's the reissue/bootleg isn't it? Wasn't the orig on a yellow label?
  5. There sure are. I think Daptone made them first many years ago. Jazzman did some a few years ago which I bought. Both look and are pretty similar to the one posted here. They're all padded pretty well yet because they aren't rigid I'd be afraid of discs cracking. Don't know if you guys are familiar with these plastic 7" boxes here: Had one lying around useless, cut off a bit. They now fit in precisely in the bag.
  6. Yes you're right. Didn't know that when I posted the sale but was told about it later. Seems like most folks knew I was wrong anyway. Sorry for causing any confusion. Record sold anyway for a (IMO) very good price.
  7. For sale: CHAMBERS BROS. - I CAN'T STAND IT - GERMAN CBS (with P/C!) - £40 incl. worldwide P&P SOLD The "good" version. In demand uptempo dancer. No US 45 release. See below for high quality recording of actual disc. Priced to sell, a sleeve-less copy went for 50 earlier this year. Great condition, record plays VG++, almost EX. Sleeve is VG+ bordering VG++. Payment Paypal only. As gift if possible. 'Int. Signed for' post is 2 quid extra. Insurance available as well. Audio
  8. Paypal changes its rules almost every week so good chance seller is (sort of) right. But what puzzles me, have you ever asked the seller to send you any evidence of said Paypal requirement?
  9. Ady, used to have Joe Perkins. Sold it but kept a CD recording and label scans of both sides. Could send the scans and an uncompressed .wav file if that helps?
  10. Thought this is around 75 quid now? The 'good' non-US 45 version that is.
  11. I think price of Ebonies borders on the wrong side of the 50 quid mark or even higher?
  12. Was always wondering, is this a version of Lou Pride?
  13. Dave, have you played the soundclip of MDB? Labels look clean, but plays VG+ only (IMO)
  14. I'm after a nice condition copy of the Magnetic Touch LP "Fallin in love with a dream" on Almeria. Please PM me with price and condition. Can pay Paypal only. Original only please, no reissue (if there is any) TIA Benji
  15. Thanks for the info. Shows how much I'm out of touch with today's prices on some records. Didn't know demand for the Pages is that high.
  16. Yes, first version. There's a thread with the whole story about it somewhere on Soul Source.
  17. Pages "Heartaches & Pain" on Sunstruck and Marshall, Donovan, Broomfield "Since I found my baby" on Augusta went on Ebay earlier this week. Pages finished @ 500 GBP and MDB @ 340. Both discs in VG/VG+ condition. Was really gobsmacked seeing the Pages price but also think that MDB was a bit underpriced. I rate both discs @ 200 and @400 respectively. What do you guys think? 18. I thought it's for free ....
  19. Thanks for the all the info and the confirmation that JITNOT isn't 6 min long. Next question is, has anybody a copy for sale??
  20. Also came out on Dynamo (not the Detroit label). Identical cut.
  21. Came across a great 70s track on a CD and was wondering if you guys could give me more info about it? Magnetic Touch - Just in the nick of time - Almeria I understand it's an LP only track. I searched the web for a copy of the LP and noticed on the label it says JITNOT is 6:00 min long. The song on my CD clocks in at 3:31. Do I have an edited recording on the CD or is there another (shorter) version around? Any info much appreciated TIA Benji
