  1. 3,9% less than Manship, priced to sell?
  2. Wow, this sold for less than on Soul Source. Unbelievable.
  3. Don't you get the same message when trying to bid on an US-only auction?
  4. Worst version I know of is by the Johnson Bros on german-only 45. It's awful, can't bear to even think about it.
  5. This also came out in Italy. With a picture sleeve but unfortunately not a pic of Brenda
  6. Unless this has risen in value again 300 is just about what it's worth, isn't it?
  7. Do you know more about that loophole? I know the guy/guys behind Marginal used it to issue 100s of bootleg CDs. Might be just urban myth but was told that the bootleggers were safe as long as they sold their "products" only in Belgium but one bloke got busted as he sold his CDs all over the world. Any truth behind that? BTW, are you saying spanish Chubby Checker is not legit?
  8. From an aesthetic point of view the multi coloured US issue is the one to have IMO. UK Pye release might be the rarest but looks boring (again IMO). BTW, Chris if you really think this sounds like an 80s recording you may need to have your hearing aid re-calibrated
  9. The comedy lies in the details: "Hard to find 45s with a Low Start Price AND NO RESERVE !!"
  10. Record sellers can use whatever description, phrase, etc. they want. I can't be bothered. Just don't take it too literally. I mean nobody wants to have "monsters" in his record box? And as the "holy grail" is supposed to be a goblet it wouldn't fit in any of my boxes either. Overpriced records, that really pi**es me off. Guide/Book/Manship prices are usually 200% of the real market value, so where's the point of knocking off 10% from the guide price and calling that "priced to sell"?
  11. Chalky, just have say a big big thank you for all the Stafford podcasts. Being brought up on a diet of post-Stafford-late 80s-early 90s-100 club kind of Northern Soul TOTW seems like THE allnigher I wish I could have attended.
  12. June's podcast features part 2 of some 60s and Northern Soul 45s from the play/goody box. Again, from well known classics to lesser knowns and "forgotten" records. From common songs to pretty rare ones. From uptempo Northern to early 60s and beat ballads. Hope you'll enjoy it! 1 Ray Merrell . Tears of joy . UK Jayboy 2 L. Allen . Can't we talk it over . 13. Just wondering, is this the same song as on the River Deep Mountain High album?
  14. Remember that too. Owner's name was Eddie, "Eddie's my name" on Parkway painted on it as well (on the front I think)
  15. Also open to 1:1 trades of similar (or higher ) value

  18. Wow, almost a year since the last copy of this Motown beauty was for sale on Soul Source! This is the one everybody's looking for. No 45 release anywhere else in the world. This sure has not just dried up but is almost impossible to find now. EDWIN STARR - I JUST WANTED TO CRY - GERMAN TAMLA MOTOWN SOLD £80 including 'signed for' post worldwide! 19. Black Adda cases are pretty good too. And much lighter than any alloy flight cases. I use a 200 count 2 row box for more than 15 years now w/out any problems. Records sit upright, easy to carry and can be padlock locked.
  20. about 250 I'd say. Demand peaked a few years ago tho it still packed the floor whenever I've heard it more recently.
  21. Don't think so. It looks like it was printed off center but it sits pretty centered on the record. Edit: Fantastic record and I'm not surprised about the price.
  22. I think the album mix is fantastic Jazz music as is the whole album. The Ooompa Loompa mix or whatever it is called is crap.
  23. Which mix did you listen to? Only know the orig mix on the album. Great track, not soul though.
  24. Thanks but 80 quid is a bit steep IMO. Last 2,3 copies on Popsike went for around $50 each
  25. Hard to tell from the scan in the auction if lettering is black or blue. If it's black 100% boot as already said.
