  1. Postman dropped these off yesterday: Willie Harper (I have a thing for those NOLA 45s) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7HXrFcPSuk Dave Gibson (the flip, "It Could Have Been Worse", is nice too) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE_G-8M6FlM 25th Hour (strange record, soul garage pop thing, first track is interesting and reminds me of Just Brothers in a way) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klaWrkquWT8 Kelly Brothers (just a nice record, love the old excello label design, is the version on Sims identical?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSwEV0zmhhc
  2. Right now the tracking doesn't update at all Hopefully it's on it's way
  3. Mailman stopped by with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omnkh2OTtAk And this (ebay purchase at an all time low $13 for an issue copy): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szZ68L4OlCo And a nice little reissue of Walter & The Admerations on La-Cindy. Nice record, but not silly money kind of nice.
  4. Gemmpay is nice, I used to always spend all my record sales money that way. (Now I use discogs and spend all my record sales money through paypal. Things only seem to change.) Depending on how many employees they have, the increased delay could escalate if they fell behind and have trouble catching up. Not a good situation any which way, and they should do something about it before they loose all their customers (sellers).
  5. I've had this tracking on some items but they never update progress after the package has left the U.S.
  6. I'm still trying to achieve personal financial ruin through collecting, but with no success. I used to do a better job of it in the beginning, but then I lost my job and had to learn to control my buying habits. I've started buying again (never needed to sell anything) but I'm not used to paying big bucks anymore. I rarely get asked to DJ so I mostly collect for my own enjoyment.
  7. Current value is apparently $499. Unless he found an endless amount of copies value will probably go back up in a few months.
  8. The pictures are upside down because you held your phone/camera upside down while taking the photos. Use the rotate function in windows photo viewer to turn them the right way round.
  9. This has been one of my favorites the last couple of years.

  11. Still looking for these. Sell me your copy. Please?
  12. That's a nice record. I wish I knew who it was.
  13. As far as I know all copies have bad soundquality.
  14. Gene Stridel relocated to Miami late 60's. Have you found any ads from his local shows?
  15. Overpriced is almost as bad as not getting a reply on your want. Almost.
  16. Still looking for these
  17. The best thing would probably be to list them at very low starting prices on ebay. If they're worth anything the collectors will find your listing and bid accordingly. A forum listing will save you fees but you'll only sell those records this forum find interesting. On ebay you'll reach out to all kinds of collectors. And do list "garbage" too. Some of the records I'm looking for are in that category.
  18. Thanks for the input, I know a bit about Billi Welles at Mercede. I know less about what he did before and after. And I was a bit confused about there being one or two artists by the same name, but that seems to be cleared up now. I've also tried to get Nancy to reveal something about her past but she's not very communicative. My Mercede label page: https://www.boogalooinvestigator.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=13:fort-lauderdale-early-70s&catid=14:record-labels&Itemid=35
  19. I read somewhere that this guy is another Billy Wells. (Sci-fi Billy was also involved with Uranus Records.)
  20. I'm looking for info on Billi Wells/Billy Wells/Billi Welles and noticed that The Billy with the Crescents is apparently a different guy from the Billy with the Invaders/Outer Realm. Is this true? And if anyone has info of any kind I'd love to hear about it.
  21. Google Accounts are not just for email. The one account gives you access to several sites and comment fields on blogs. The profiles you are asked to select are different kinds of logins from different providers. It makes it possible to have username and password functions on blogs without hassle and it helps you keep control of all your logins by letting you login everywhere with the same account.
  22. Yeah, the mono/stereo versions are on ebay all the time but I haven't seen a twosided copy for a while.
  23. Looking for nice copies of: Steve Colt and The Forty Fives - Hey Girl How You Gonna Act/I've Been Loving You - Big Beat and Steve Colt Paradox - Untangle My Mind/I'm Not Here To Hurt You - Vanguard

  25. That's what I've been able to piece together as well. I've tried to collect all the pieces of their bio here: https://boogalooinvestigator.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=12:the-story-about-the-rise-and-fall-of-the-mar-vells-aka-the-fabulettes&catid=13:artists&Itemid=31
