To top it off I just got a "Mint" copy from a very well known UK dealer. On a good day I would possibly accept it as a vg+, but really it's vg.

If the new section on site is ment to be primarily for sampling tunes before buying then maybe 90 sec. snippets could be the solution. That would prevent acetates and cds being made.

Firstly: It was intended as friendly advice, not direct criticism. I can understand that you feel lonely and would like an accomplice but the person you are looking for is not me. End of discussion.

You're not very bright, are you ? I do not acknowledge your "central point and personal opinion" because I see little difference between JM's auction and any other auction run by auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christie's.

In between ramblings, distorted quotes and general lack of logic a good point was made: I have no serious doubts about John Manships honesty but bidding on your own auction is a bit untidy. It makes people doubt the integrity of the auction. It would be good business sense not to do so in the future. Rambler: You should be careful. Most message boards log your ip address. The address can be traced back to your computer. If JM wishes to take your statements to court he will easily be able to identify you.

Didn't we agree that discussion is healthy and that discussions in other parts of the forum would be of little help to buyers ? This discussion is certainly of good use to me, especfially now that trouty has tipped the scale in the other direction.
