  5. Soussan came along when most peoples knowledge of Northern was limited most of us probably thought most records getting played were ultra rare and he exploited that age of innocence and lack of knowledge , whatever he may have done we are still debating him years after and i think probably with a wry smile.

  7. After reading and contributing to the pw and ce topics thought a bit a of light relief might be in order, what are listening to now if anything? I.ve got the Willie Hutch Try It You'll Like it Cd on at this moment I Can Sho Give You Love is playing soon be cranking up the volume because the brilliant Easy Does It is a couple of tracks away , a great Cd from a great artist who spanned the decades and styles. So what are listening to?.

  9. Both plus Freeview on telly.
  10. Don't know about your theory but there is a salad named tomango which as suggested in the name a blend of Tomato and Mango with lime juice added along with other ingredients.
  11. Our Last Time is the one that does it for me.
  12. No probs , blues i can use but not at northern nights, the Burnside track in my opinion is garbage.
  13. I agree with you why would you want to hear it on the scene on a northern night , they are totally different types of music i love Robert Cray but it's music to listen to at home or live where the man is sensational, all is was trying to get at was there was no comparison to the RL Burnside track and any Robert Cray music that i've heard.
  14. Sounds a lot like by an uptempo tune by someone like Robert Cray? , obviously you have never listened to any Robert Cray material .
  15. This one does it for me great blowing and great vocal too Jr.is a legend Gotta Hold On To This Feeling https://youtu.be/UvfBji1iEQY
  16. Bunnies in Rotherham was another shop that was not bad for buying Shermans and Levis etc bit pricy though that was situated in the Imperial Buildings. You could also pick up a few things at the sports shop Danny Williams remember getting a Slazenger jumper from there .
  17. If your on about Rotherham the Wakefield Famous Army Stores was next to Kendrick Fieldsend and they sold Levis, Martens plus obviously surplus army gear, as for Sheffield i think there was quite a few one as i remember was on the Wicker or there abouts. Just remembered another Wakefield Army stores in Rotherham that one was across from Woolworths think it's a phone shop now.
  18. Some great records on this label love the design of the multi coloured label too the following 2 are big faves of mine and cheap as well !
  19. Maybe i'm alone on this one but i prefer Maxines version of this to the Ray Gant version, she seem to get the real emotion out of the song. Love to hear the Eddie Parker version though.
  20. If the people there enjoyed it what has it got to do with anybody that did not attend ?.
  21. Thats the one ! . Sorry i should mentioned it was a 12 inch.
  22. Is my memory playing tricks? but i'm sure this got booted in the 80s coupled with Bill Harris and another track which i can't recall .
