The guy just does not like the album simple as that, iv,e a few albums which are regarded as classics by many which i just don,t like , i remember buying Eddie Hintons Extremely Dangerous lp after reading it raved about in Voices From The Shadows and other publications , when i played it first time i thought what a racket iv,e played it on numerous occasions with the same result . 5. I don't think listening to soul music made in the 60s or 70s is very cutting edge and thus backward looking and uncool
  6. 3000 people at a event seems very healthy to me and not one going down the tube , music is to be enjoyed not dissected and to slag fellow devotees off.

  14. Love Terrys version and Jerry is a great fave of mine but on his version he just seems to be going through the motions where as Terry seems to feel it.
  15. Great show , good to see records of this ilk getting a airing on the radio , my kind of soul music .

  17. One of my faves of the era
  18. Bought loads of albums of this sort in the eighties , Alyson Williams,Tashan,By all Means etc. just regarded em as contempary soul and just wished that real musicians had been used even though i still like some of em .
  19. This seems to be starting to go the way of a slanging match about something unrelated , its a appeal for donations to a fund set up to benefit Eula Cooper if people don,t want to donate end of story .
