  8. The Living All Alone lp is a classic , no interest to the northern fraternity though, but if you like your Soul slow and deep it comes highly recommended.
  9. Unknown for a reason
  10. Yes a fantastic album that got lost in the demise at Stax and could and should have led her on the same path as Shirley Brown and the like.
  11. John Edwards has always been a fave of mine, his voice is up with the best of em with 2 great albums and some ace singles. Found some fame as a member of the Detroit Spinners but he should have been a star in his own right.
  12. Sam Dees , million seller songwriter, but who,s recordings are overlooked by the mass public.
  13. Plus my fave, Hey Love, midtempo perfection to my ears , and as you say worth finding.

  18. Got to agree 2 great albums that still do it today ,the first one totally changed my musical direction from northern to the deeper side of things and after that there was no turning back for me .

  25. Marvin Gaye Sheffield City Hall 1976 ,just to be in the same hall as the great man was kinda spritual he even threw a Marvin strop with the band and said get it right lads or i,m not doing the show ! before going off and coming back minutes later ( could have been part of the act though ) . Also the late greats Edwin Starr with Jr. Walker at the same place both awesome and Edwin had a band called Total Concept Unlimited with him who went on to find fame as Rose Royce.
