  1. Who ever he is , his Curtis impersonations are not very good.
  2. Never thought I,d come on here and see a Perry Como record uploaded . I hope Sootys packed up djing when I,m in f**king nursing home.
  3. Read Aarons posts and listened to his youtube vids and I,m stumped to why he is on here .He seems to not like the northern oldies scene but advocates 50s stuff , can someone tell where on the northern scene he will hear the likes of these records ? . All of the RnB records i like and seem to get played on the scene tend to be the black ballsy stuff not like the stuff posted
  4. He was sold outlast week Pete , maybe he might have some more now but still showing on his site as sold out.
  5. Really feel for the guy , what surprises me is people post on here and I assume other media sites that they are going on holiday , nighters etc. an open invitation to some thieving scum.
  6. For that fella to be JR Bailey he must had some plastic surgery on his nose .
  7. First time I came across this track was on the U.S. cd Motown Sings Motown Treasures vol 1 which was released in the mid nineties , it has since been re released in Britain.
  8. Seems to be a total cock up , about a week ago everybody was waiting for their copies with anticipation now lots of people are f**ked off and on the horns of a dilemma whether to hang on to or send back the set . Be interesting to see how Universal handle this its not going to be easy with it being a limited run and could take ages to sort out. Not good for the suppliers too having to deal with returns. Hope it works out fine for everyone .
  9. Yes it seems to be a cock up , hopefully that will resolve it self for all concerned . As being fortunate to get a vinyl release in 2013 maybe but its no excuse for missing records in boxes and skipping records .
  10. Always amazes me how people call hit records crap and rave over substandard rarities if their were no hits and no money to be made no one would have made records, I,m sure if Backfield In Motion had not hit paydirt their career on Stax may never had took place . They recorded some good stuff on that label including a couple of sought after dancers .
  11. Killer reply too
  12. Just thought people were posting up records they thought that deserved a 7 inch release in their view .
  13. Why comment on records you do not like , its all about opinions . As for the last comment I much doubt it.
  14. So did Carolyn Crawford to me .
  15. Only interested in the record from a musical point not as rare records and the theories , the double tracking of the vocals the girly sound of one of them seem to have been done in a breathy Sylvia ( Pillow Talk ) type of way and the other comes across more womanly , I think its the same singer done in 2 different styles . Great record anyway, the Your Love Is Everything track seems to show the limitations of the vocalist and near the end she seems to be struggling to hold it together non the less its still a great record.
  16. For all Linda,s talent and legend that she is even her vocals could not save that pile of tripe
  17. That got me moist too , I p**sed myself laughing
  18. I thought fishing on your line too at first and then listened again and came up with pickin , but fishing makes more sense ? so first instinct was right ?
  19. I take Tamla Motion for constipation.
  20. That's expensive toilet paper , Pete
  21. The topic title is Northern Soul Top 500 time for a review, I think the first book raised enough debate in the past and another would only do the same, time it was put to bed I think . I know my top Northern records thats enough for me.
  22. Those records makes the Doris Duke album I,m A Loser sound like a party record
  23. Can not understand why any of those versions were not hit records
