  1. R.I.P. Bonnie . Always loved this
  2. Some nice ones here pricy though Steve. https://www.primrose.co.uk/stone-bird-baths-c-1_134_11357_11361.html
  3. I would imagine not Steve I think it is quite old made with sand , concrete and fine pebble mixture . I got it off a work colleague who said I could have it for nowt , but I gave him a tenner ! . Absolute bargain , and we took it home in the work wagon.
  4. Not a great photo quality wise . 2 young Starlings on my bird bath and a Blackbird feeding on the ground .
  5. R.I.P Betty , a truly great artist who's talent was recognised and rewarded .
  6. R.I.P Richard a true trailblazer. Love this
  7. Apparently not , so called because.one of the founding members was a big fan of The Dells so they added an R.as a tribute to the Dells . Rhyming with Bell makes more sense though. Story here . https://blog.ponderosastomp.com/2017/08/tighten-archie-bell/amp/
  8. Does it get any better than this ? The Four Tops
  9. Great to see Hedgehogs , seem the only ones I see are dead on the roads . Also a victim of people including myself putting up fences and ripping out the hedges deny them a free run through gardens . I have been in Wilko today and saw for the first time Hedgehog food amongst the wild bird food , what next frog feed !
  10. Thanks for that , a great documentary and as you said it will make you laugh and cry , and Bill comes across as a great human being as well as a great artist.
  11. A tremendous voice as smooth as silk R.I.P Bill Love this track
  12. I still remember the shock on hearing this tragic news , one of my favourite artists , glad I had the chance to see him live . Favourite track of his to many too mention but this one still gets me .
  13. Thanks posting Mike , fantastic , a true great .
  14. I will nominate Johnnie Taylor a true great and this track is fairly topical with it featuring in the latest Mercedes Benz ad. Also the man live !
  15. All alone by the telephone Lonely heart in the city Helpless Rescue me Torture Going out of my head Nowhere to run I got the fever It's rough out there The panic is on
  16. Do not know about the death part but it has been reported a large amount of records and DJ equipment stolen from a house in Skegness on 20th of February. Google Skegness news it is reported on the local paper website , sorry I do not know how to do links on my tablet yet. Too late , already answered above.
  17. This packs a punch .
  18. All for seeing live acts it is great to see our heroes in the flesh but these two groups now are as Chalky says are no more than a tribute act. I saw the Four Tops at the Fiesta Club and at The Sheffield City Hall and the Dennis Edward led Temps at the City Hall plus the Ruffin, Kendricks , Edwards gig at the Doncaster Dome who also had David Sea on backing vocals. I would not pay a tenner to see the current groups.
  19. Another winner from Otis , love this .
  20. Great track from a great artist and a great lp . Otis cut wonderful tracks across all the decades a sadly missed artist
  21. Coming to a working men's club near you ! Oh fu*k it already has. And why are polo shirts worn tucked in by old guys , strictly for the young and slim.
  22. Tragic news for the New Year , Had a couple of conversations with Lorraine by pm, a lovely lady and a talented singer, songwriter , producer. R.I..P Lorraine .
  23. I would second the sunflower hearts in feeders , no waste and suet pellets for non seed eaters , I am sorry to say I have not seen a Song Thrush in my garden for years which due to the abundance of snails in my garden is a shame because its song is a delight. Sorry for taking the focus off the wonderful photographs.
