    Seems indoor entertainment has took a big hit and not just soul wise most pubs around my parts are empty midweek and not much better at weekends , only the young seem to be going for it and the nightclubs still seem to be going ok ,till the passports put a downer on those too. Think this virus has scared the hell out of people and we have also got used to staying in , hopefully things will improve but not for awhile I would imagine. Outdoor events seem to be going ok though till the weather puts those on hold. Fortunately listening to soul music at home is something that even this virus cannot curtail .

    So why go to the bother of having white labels produced why not produce more stockers and give stockers away to djs and the like I would imagine the recipient of a free copy would be thrilled to receive a stock copy . These releases are only produced in small numbers so the production of white labels is not really needed in my opinion.

    Take our liberty while we can , we have done our bit by staying in virtual isolation for months on end and most of us are double vaccinated . Life has to go on or it is not worth living .

    Thanks Joan , always thought that slugs along with worms were their staple diet putting dog food or cat food in my garden will have to thought about I have enough bloody cats coming though my garden without encouragement . Will have to give some thought how to feed them without it attracting the cats , maybe put it under some propt up roofing tiles I have in the shrubs where the little fella disappeared to.

    Not a great photo quality wise but chuffed to find this little fella outside my back door last night devouring a large slug , first one I have seen on my garden for probably a decade.

    At a £10 upmark on a issue that is a fine profit and well worth their time but they are hardly demos as we know them.

    Total waste of time to the record buyer they are not demos just a white label copy done for the record owner to make more money . The odd thing is the record labels still keep producing them so the market must be there for them so they must sell in enough quantity to make them worthwhile ,a fool and his money .

    The shirts look quite good but spoilt by the hackneyed and naff KTK badge . Would not wear one myself I am way too old for football shirts and t shirts it is not a good look on pensioners But it does not stop some wearing them .

    In probability both are right, named after Cody but The Cods is hardly an inspiring name so put a full stop after each letter and you get a name that is in everyday use and also still incorporating the name of Bill Cody in a round about way.

    Good on ya Ed You will look no more ridiculous than some of the clowns who have pulled the shirt on for money at Millmoor , Don Valley and The New York Stadium over the years.

    I would imagine most people on here Soul is a way of life but I do not need car stickers and the like to affirm my affinity with the music , the badges thing was ok back in the day but to now see middle aged men and women sporting the like is a bit like the phenomenon of overweight and old football supporters wearing replica shirts . Leave the merchandise to the youngsters who can carry it off without looking ridiculous

    Seemed ok when Godin had his column but totally old hat now . All types of Northern merchandise makes me squirm with the stupid slogans KTF , A Way Of Life etc.

    Amy does nothing for me , much prefer Joss Stone myself if I am going for British stylists.

    If the records puts some cash in the songwriters pocket I do not mind at all , and I doubt if the songwriters mind too. Bit like the Womack story when The Stones covered " It's All Over Now ' he was fuming till the writers cheque came in.

    R.I.P. Roger a musician who has played on loads tracks that are regarded as classics and all embellished by his playing .

    As much as I respect the people's above views to me this record is poor to my cloth ears ., the backing singers sound as though they were on mogodon. But it's all about opinions mine is no better or worse than anyone's else's . Be kind people
