Very interesting read. Thanks Out of curiosity, how many does the Apollo hold? I've been past the Fox Theatre and it's a very impressive building, but was underwhelmed when I saw the Apollo (sorry) I'm not taking anything away from the great acts that have appeared there, I was just expecting something a bit bigger, I could see that it did stretch back some way, so maybe my passing view of it did not reveal the beauty within Edit: How many did it hold in it's hey day

Erm not sure about that particular track on hearing it for the first time, but because it is the masters voice , I'm sure it will grow on me. I will certainly buy the album

Martyn, the last time I went to Kings Hall was 2001 maybe a bit later? I attended it regular, as it had a fantastic modern room, and the main room was just as awesome. I loved both rooms, and by the sounds of it, i'd still love both rooms (I like it all) There was a time when I'd be at a nighter every weekend, but not any more. I will get to Stoke again one day Maybe we could car share as the price of blxxding fuel makes my blood boil Take care fella Ali x

Well said Carms There's far too many prophets trying to preach that "their" way is the right way I'm not saying that "their" way is the wrong way, just most of us like to swing both ways or swing all ways and why not!! People should learn to be more tolerant of each other, and other's ways, for chuffs sake we've all got "soul" in common. It's ridiculous, & I even felt the need the other day to justify that my wearing and dancing (well, dancing in a fashion ) in heels doesn't make me any less a lover of soul. It's barmy, and I feel even barmier for being drawn into this, when really all I should do is stick "two fingers up" at the posts I don't like and move on. Which is what I'm going to do now (move on that is, not stick two fingers up at your post) All the best Ali x
