I was in Manchester city centre on Wednesday , There was a young suede head with button down tartan shirt (Brutus I think) skinner jeans ,blood red docs , Crombie coat & Umbrella .. he looked the biz :-) probably had braces as well
I was playing "Best thing for you Baby" Gloria Parker the other night , It reminded me of a little Café in my home Town of Clitheroe . The café was called "The Clock Café" which had a duke box which had a few mainly northern pressings..Alot of the older lads & Girls (who were going to Wigan) hung out there on Saturdays..Suppose it started my interest into soul music.. Made Great hamburgers as well ..Paul
