  1. Hiya folks A big list but I'm probably only going to be able to afford one or two of the following so send me your SET price. Won't bother to haggle. It'll be either a straight yes or no from me but I will reply to all those who give me a price. I'm locking the post coz I can just imagine the 'debate' that could go on with a list this big, eh? Don and Debbie - I Can Be Happy - Amos Martha Starr – Sweet Temptation – Charay Jimmy Moore - Church Street Sally - SPQR Charles Johnson & Tornado Orchestra – “You Made A Mistake” “I’ll keep loving you” - Rainbow Nelson Sanders - You're sweet love – Petcol Frankie and the Damons - Man from Soul T&T - Something on my mind – Cobra Joni Jones – I got to tell it - fame Young Jessie – Brown Eyes Marvin L Sims - Revue - Get off my back Prince Buster – Sunshine with my girl - Backbeat Babba Brookes – the jerk – gay feet Jimmy Ricks – bad man of Missouri - baton
  2. Well, it looks like the seldom used tactic of listing the wrong record in hope of picking up the one you really want has worked. Thanks for all the help folks. BTW how come bloody Mace always has (or has just sold) every tune I put up on here Has he stooped so low that he's now found a way of hacking into computers now. You might think it's funny but I wouldn't put it past him
  3. We wait in anticipation for how much the next one on ebay fetches. Bet it's nearer to my estimation than yours.
  4. One went this week on ebay for £100. They're up all the time on ebay so max £150 I'd say.
  5. Flynny Flanny - Tomato Tomadoe. Look, dislecksya is a terrible affliction but i've still got good hearing. I'll call you Davey from now on. Pm me with what your spare is going for.
  6. Missed this more times than is humanly possible so if anyone's got a copy for sale in great playing nick give me a nod.
  7. My advice would be to stick a 'saved search' on ebay. You'll have one in about 3 weeks going by the number that have come up on ebay the last 6 months. Great record tho.
  8. If anyone's got a copy of prince charles - pain jon etstream lemme know and how much? Cheers
  9. Wasn't Jack the Ripper also a London Legend? Looking forward to spinning a few for a very good cause.
  10. Dunno mate. One isn't really a representative sample but she loves her soul music. She's only 22 but it was really interesting to hear her critique of the tunes she didn't like. By the way her second and third favourites were Bobby Sheen - Something new to do and The Sheepherders - If ever you need me
  11. Just played my office manager 10 tunes from a sales website and asked her (who's never heard any of the tunes before) which ones were her favourites. The selection included mostly very rare tunes and guess what her favourite was, by a mile, I might add. Nolan Porter - If I could only be sure, Just shows that classics are classics for a reason. Just a thought.
  12. Give me £100K to spend and I'd be the best dj you' ve ever heard in your life. Or you could cut out the middle man and give me Butch's play box. Let's face it - he's not playing no cheapies, is he?

  14. Oh, get over yourselves. It's just a bloody shirt
  15. Got a VG++ white demo of this for £175 for sale
  16. Typical, even your original records are dodgy
  17. Don't know if this has been done before but was tempted to post a list of my favourite djs - none of the big boys with the collections you'll never own coz they're just too rare and full of one-offs. No, those intrepid adventurers amongst us that play the stuff that inspire the rest of us djs who've never played an unknown tune in our lives. Those that go out and play those records that you spend your next 2 years looking for / or 30 mins if you get home fast enough and it's on Gemm or MusicStack. Those djs that sometimes play the most god awful records for 3/4 of their set and then put in some gems you drool over, give you a reason for living and instantly go on your wants list. They've got an ear for a tune that might work and a nose for that something just a leeeeeetle bit different that makes you stop what you were saying to ask if anyone "knows what this is?" and everyone shakes their head. Hats off to the djs dj - they probably get more flack than compliements but always come up smelling of roses. I've got a load of names to post up but the first three that spring to mind are Hoss, Steve C and Alan H - mainly because they're uncompromising.
  18. But if you had a minty one in your possession now, would you sell it for £200? If your answer is yes I'll always look up to you as a gentleman of the highest principles and ethics. This is Northern Soul, by the way.
  19. Well, well, well. Trying to compose this post without using the word smug. Oh dear, I've failed.
  20. Bargain of the week or a typo? I can hear the sound of a stampede as we speak.
  21. got a Liberation on a white demo for £175 if anyone's interested
