  1. Easy one to pick up on ebay Sean. Pop up every month.
  2. Quickest soul source reply ever. Just as I'd finished typing the posting I remembered a few years ago I bid on something thinking it was in dollars when it was actually listed in pounds stirling and had to contact the seller to explain that I couldn't afford it. Perhaps there are more numptys like me around.
  3. Just seen a very scratchy Bobby Kline go for £1100 and recently JT Parker sell for over $5500. Might be just my cynical mind playing overtime (and pardon to the genuine bidders who actually won these tunes) but are all the tunes that fetch astronomical prices on ebay legit? Got no evidence to say otherwise but thought it worth a mench.

  5. Badly written, on reflection. I'm sure it was Rob Smith who played it last year, wunnit?
  6. I never speed up anything Ady. You should ask the missus. Yep, first heard Jumpin' play it many years ago at Cleethorpes but more recently at Solid Hit Soul. Great sound innit.
  7. Oh, yeah. Thought there was something funny about it when I typed it. Thanks Al

  10. Flogged mine on here about 2 years ago for £450 only one serious offer so I assume that's the going rate. Great, great oldie. One of those in the 'wish I hadn't sold it' category but you can't keep 'em all, can you?
  11. Great sets from all of the djs last night. Special ta's to Simsy and Adam Buchannan for some top, top tunes played. Thanks to all those who made it last night it was a hoot and haven't laughed so much for ages. Haven't put up a play list for ages and ages so I thought I'd indulge my self and do one. Problem is I can't remember half of what I played. Typical eh? Not much latin or RnB in that lot. What's the world coming to. Cheers Al McCarthur - His true love for you - Two Guitars Minnie Jones - Shadow of a memory - Sugar Cookie Scott - I don't care - ORR Mike Pedicin - Burnt toast and black coffee - Federal Darlene Love - Lord if you're a woman - Warner Carbon Copies - Just don't love you - Git down Ambelique - Talk like that Benny Johnson - Visions of paradise - Today Pookie Hudson - This gets to me - Jamie Innersection - Let me love yuh - Group 5 Patti Jo - Make me belive in you - Scepter Revels - I want a new love - Trent Town Moses Smith - Come on let me love you - Cotillion Manny Corchado - Pow Wow - Decca Tommy Ridgely - My love is getting stronger - International City Bernard Williams - It's needless to say - Harthon
  12. Got a Sherri Taylor on Glorico for sale at £375 in pretty lovely condition if anyone's interested.
  13. Bill Brandon & Lorraine Johnson - "Let Me Be Your Full Time Groover" is a brilliant tune and probably just right for reactivation. Must be in my top 10. Now "9 times out of ten" is in a league of its own but still love it.
  14. Was it on the 'SMUG' label? You know the one I mean - it's got a fat bloke with a big head on the label
  15. Shame that this is on the same night as Aaron Neville playing at the Barbican. Would have loved to see them. Bet they're fab. Have a good one Karen
  16. Might have gone - might not as I'm trying to remember the venues on in the late 70s. CEGB on the Barnwood Rd used to do great dos. Now, don't get me started with full circle skirts - worth the price of admission on thier own.
  17. Glaaaaaaawster Tech - Blimey, first all nighter I ever went to but one I went to was in '78 - nicked a bottle of milk on the walk home. Happy days. St Peter's Social club and Quedgely village hall were local do's at the time. Out of interest does anyone remember Maria Holmes or Shaun Weston who were kicking around at that time. What happened to them?
  18. Got a pretty minty one for £350 if anyone's interested. Paypals fine but fees would need to be paid by buyer. Cheers Warren
  19. Dave you might want to contact John Coppen Woodwind or Mike Edwards Woodwind in London to see if they've got what you want. Both based in London and probably the best bet in finding bits, spares and parts for saxes. Your kid could pick em up for you or I could if you needed someone who needs a bit of knowledge of the sax. Might help, might not, but worth a try. Cheers Warren
  20. When did you ever spend £6.85 for a record? And that includes the special delivery postage.
  21. Don't mean to be flippant or sarcastic but if anyone's got a minty one for sale for £150 I'll buy it off you.
