  4. Hi Sounds like the Ray who was offering me records from my wants postings but seemed to disappear when I asked him for his telephone number so that I could hear them. 'Don't have one' was the reply, which was a bit confusing as he was using the internet to reply to me. Be afraid, be very afraid Your mate and financial counselor Warren Boogaloo
  5. The very one. Linda and I will be in attendance and in memory of dear, dear missing soulies, I will ask everyone to hold hands, bow heads and reflect on past transgressions. They will then be asked to hold their hands high in the air to thank the Lord and shout 'Hallelujah for our free 4th anniversary CD'. Warren Boogaloo
  6. Hey, I hear there's a do on in London tonight!!!! Warren Boogaloo
  7. Hi Pete Well son, your dreams have been answered. Booglaloosoul's monthly Motown extravaganza is on the 10th June. Rare and classic tunes played with a passion. If it's anything last last month they're still mopping the sweat off the walls, fantastic. Personally I think the London scene is fab. Some clubs come, some go but there's still loads of passionate people putting their money where their records are and keeping it lively. 4th anniversary tomorrow night - must be doing something right or must be really stupid to put up with all this pain and heartache. London soul - I love it!!!!! Warren Boogaloo
  8. Well done, Janine, a superd double blog and for this I will extend the my kind offer to another 15p. If you don't know what we're talking about, check out the Boogaloo event posting. Money to be made!!!!!!!!! Warren Boogaloo

  21. Been waiting for a record from the US for the last month. I asked for it to be sent registered (signed for) via airmail. Emailed the seller who sent me the registered number and tried to track it using the USPS online system. If I need to investigate further what information would I need to get from the seller and how would I get the US postal service to trace its whereabouts. Thanks Warren
  22. Hi Yeah, got a copy and would be willing to sell but not sure of current value. Can you or anyone else give me an accurate value of this. Warren
  23. Hi At our last Motown night Chris Lane played three ska tunes that were Motown covers. After the initial shock I thought they were fantastic. Never been into Ska/Rocksteady (once a soulboy, always........) but would like to have the definitive list of Motown tunes covered by our ever enterprising Jamaican brothers. Can anyone in the know tell me the tunes to watch out for/prices/availability etc. Ta Warren
  24. Hi For my pennysworth, if you're happy just hunting New York is great. Some of my recommendations have already been mentioned, Bleeker St and around that area. Lots of little stores around lower east side 13th/2nd. Picked up a few nice bits of Northern last year and plenty of Jazz/Motown/Latin. Two tips: Don't tell anyone you're into Northern Soul as they are wise to the prices - 'gospel soul' works great for me. Keep looking. You never know who's just sold/bought a new collection - happens all the time and you might be in the right place at the right time. Was in San Francisco when a guy came in with a box of mint RCA demos!!! Good luck Warren
