Thought CD1 from vol 2 boring, boring, boring but was pleasantly surprised with some of the goodies on CD2. But have to agree, not a patch on the Vol 1. Bought 'Reaching for the Best' - The Blackpool Mecca compilation last week - not a classic but very interesting hearing tunes that tracked its progression from a purely 60's venue through to some sublime modern and early disco in its latter years.

Just tried it with no luck. Any ideas anyone? By the way, if this post is directly below Pottsy's post about Janine's pickkie - Shame on you for bringing this site into disrepute

Took the same risk from the recommedations on Soul Source and i have to agree - one of the best 'blind buys' I've had in many a year. Mind you, the $10 price tag had something to do with it, as well. Warren Boogaloo

Look, if you like your Motown both classic and rare get your asses down to our monthly Motown bash where you'll hear all of the a and b sides listed in above. We're virtually the only regular Motown night in the UK and get a very friendly and appreciative crowd of soul fans attending. 'Nuff said', here are some of my favourite favourite 'b' sides. i've put the numbers for the british releases. Four tops 'Can't seem to get you out of my mind'. Haunting and b side to 'Do what you gottaa do' 710 Supremes 'You've been so wonderful to me'. B side of 'Some things you never get used to'. Stunning double sider that rarely gets played 662 Barbara Randolph 'You got me hurting all over'. B to the classic 'I got a feeling' and in my humble opinion one of the most spine tingling records ever made. 628 Supremes 'Going down for the third time'. B side heaven and I think the best record Diana and the girls ever produced. A side 'Reflections' number 616 Loads more that I could have put down. See ya Warren Boogaloo

I've enjoyed reading this thread so I thought I'd add a few of my own (explanations in brackets) What, is this an office party or what (no one's danced for three records) Here's a request from earlier (I'm the only one in the place who likes this record) Here's one that's getting played loads in Scotland (I know no one's been there to verify) Remember when that one used to tear up the floor at Wigan (no one danced to it) That really used to do the business at Yate (no one danced to that one either but at least i've been around) Well, if you clear the floor, it might as well be to a really classy record (no one danced to that one and now I'm getting desperate) Just a few more from me before I hand you over to .....(don't worry this hell will be over in 6 minutes) Regards Warren Boogaloo

Whaaaaat, I can't believe some of you don't rate this!!!!!!! An absolutely fabulous tune. Must admit tho' it does sound better played out than at home. Think it was more of a Yate biggie than Wigan but could be wrong. Warren Boogaloo
