  1. I take it that's a no then
  2. Yeah, saw the reissue advertised, from Jazzman records. To answer your question on the reaction Craig - BRILLIANT
  3. Hiya Been asked this question twice in the last few months but don't seem to be able to get an answer. Does anyone know the connection between Pow Wow by Manny Corchado and The Fly by The Mosquitos (Same record, different labels). Asked a couple of Latin sales contacts in the States but can't seem to get an answer. Is the Mosquitos a boot or legit and what's the reference for it. Personally I think it's legit coz the Manny Corchado was only a £25-£50 record a few years ago so who would boot that. Answers please Warren Boogaloo
  4. Actually, Gene I bought a pink, cashmere jumper from Marks only last week. Pink, it's the new black. I could even supply the shorts and sneakers if pushed. Oh, yeah, while we're on the subject Barbara Redd - I'll be all alone (she should be after recording that) Warren
  5. Agree, top tune. We actually reactivated this last year at Boogaloo. My list would have to contain these Bunny Sigler - Girl don't make me wait Posse - Evil Ad libs - Nothing worse than being alone Dave Love - Colalined baby Promises-This love is real And for those who remember Yate allnighters Miroslav Vitous - New York City and Silvetti - Spring Rain Warren Boogaloo
  6. You wait for ages for one to turn up and all of a sudden 2 appear in mint condition on ebay. Don't know if it's just me being cynical but if anyone with a bone fide original, can let me know what deadwax markings, label identifyers, vinyl/styrene questions to ask a seller to verify a true original? Ta Warren Boogaloo
  7. Anyone got a copy of Harvey Averne - Never learned to dance for sale or trades. pm me or call me on 07838 181 375. May even consider the album if it's a great condition '71 issue. Ta
  8. Can you post a soundbite of this for me or send one as a pm. Ta Warren
  9. Heard this mid tempo tune on the anniversary cd for Rsg played by Ady C and don't know if it was a cover up but can't find the tune anywhere. Any info please. Warren Boogaloo
  10. Anything between 100 and 200 quid but depends on how lucky you are with seller and condition. Picked up 2 in the last year but one was from a Salsa guy who didn't know anything about Northern Soul so sold it quite cheap. The other was a bit pricier. You don't see that many around. Regards Warren
  11. I know the Vickie Baines went for just over 1400 and the Dr Truelove went for just over 900. Not sure of the rest but there is a function on Manship's site for viewing all action bids. Not sure how tho. Regards Warren Boogaloo
  12. I prefer to use the word - Challenging . Plus, being a glass-half full type of guy, I know that everything turns up eventually. Cheers.

  16. Anyone know labels, prices, availability or whatever on these three Jimmy Brown - Be gone Sami Lee - Let's talk it over The Idols - A little bit more Ta in advance Warren Boogaloo
  17. Carol Fran - Roll with the punches Looking for this at the mo. Not sure of value or label. Hope it's really cheap. PM me with info or prices (not offers, ta). Warren Boogaloo
  18. I wish it was Butch (have to rely on my physique to get that nickname). If only it were that easy....... (Oh, oh, I can see another debate in the offing). Its Warren, by the way. Regards Warren 'the butch' Boogaloo
  19. I love doing the early spot because there's no pressure on you get the floor going. You can play whatever shakes your biscuit and there's no one to complain. I always consider it an pleasure to play my tunes, irrespective of what time I'm on. Also gives you the chance to see if some of the never played items in your box actually sound OK on a sound system as opposed to your living room. There's been times when I've played to an empty room, had a great 15-20 minutes and almost resented people for turning up.
  20. Couldn't agree more. This scene will always have people with opinions. No problem with that but I find it hypocritical that someone can accuse someone of hiding bidders names using a 'handle' when they enjoy the annonymitiy of being able to hide behind a pseudonym on this site. Another point which I don't think has been mentioned on this thread is the fact that JM has saved me (and probably loads of other collectors) mucho dinero by publishing his bootleg book which is essential if you buy off ebay etc. Warren Boogaloo
  21. Played every second Saturday of the month, my friend, plus heaps more goodies. Nice to see more people dig Detroit magic. Warren Boogaloo
  22. This is a topic that fascinates all soulies 'How does he get his prices!!' The answer is..... no one knows and in my experience of buying twice off his auctions I didn't experience any price bumping. We all know we will pay 'over the top' but it's how far we're willing to go. The one thing missing from this thread seems to be PROOF. Can't try a man without it. Warren Boogaloo
  23. Was really chuffed to get Sam Cooke's biography until my mate told me he woke up to a mint copy of Carol and Gerry . New year's resolution - must give the wife a copy of my wants list . Warren Boogaloo
  24. Ivy Jo - I can feel the pain. A brilliant piece of Detroit magic and everybody says they love it but you could play a game of 5 a side in the space left on the floor whenever it's played. Regards Warren Boogaloo
