Hiya folks Just updated the list with sales. As I mentioned before I'm not holding anything for anyone and will only list an item as sold once I get the money. I've had loads of emails off the list so if you've said you will buy something you'd better get the money off now and let me know it's coming or someone else may get in there first. Sorry to be so hard but have been let down on a couple of previous sales and it is nearing xmas and I've got presents (of a certain variety) to buy (myself!!!!!). Thanks for all those who sent me birthday wishes. Spent it in Berlin. Regards Warren

Thanks everyone for your responses. As I stated in the original posting that I'm not accepting any offers below the prices quoted. I have updated the posting with those that have been sold. Won't hold any without payment. Regards Warren

  7. Have arrived late on this topic and can't be bothered to trawl through all the replies so far but has anyone mentioned Gloucester in the 70's and 80's or Greenwich today. Both iconic places for soul. But then I would say that wouldn't I . Warren Boogaloo
  8. Can anyone recommend any books for Christmas presents. I love reading autobiographies of soul artistes and labels. Which ones have you read that you would recommend as a bloody good read. Current ones would be good but are there any old issues worth hunting around for? Warren Boogaloo

There's a copy of Monique on ebay with a dodgy looking gold label. Never seen this before so wanted to know if it's legit or not. Any further info? Warren

  14. Very, very, very sad news. Sympathy to all those who knew her and to her family. It's good to think she is alive in our hearts in the UK through her music. Warren

YOUR Vikki Styles!!! I'm sure Joan said that she would bequethe it to me on her deathbed. Actually what she said was 'over my dead body' I've removed the sold items and added a few more to the list and reduced some. Enjoy Warren

And I appreciate the stirling work and contributions that both you and Ms Joan have put into this thread. Never have I been known to stifle free speech or luncheon arrangements . On the subject of the said Joe Matthews; there are many people who use the Boogaloo name. We are a diverse family and I can't be held responsible for the actions of other, more wayward Boogaloos. Back to the subject of records, i'll be updating the listing with some more tunes later today. Regards Warren

Tsk, tsk. Those pesky price guides, eh. Got to say I've had more interest on the Kelly than most of the others. Anyway I've updated the list. This thread seems to have been highjacked by either a covert internet dating society or muscling in on Friends Reunited territory. Thanks for the clips Joan. Warren

Agonisingly difficult decision Joan but I can't justify spending huge amounts on records when I've got more tunes than I'll ever play just sitting around at home. Plus Karen (AKA Mrs Boogaloo) found out how much some of my tunes were worth so I promised her I wouldn't raid the lecky tin anymore. Mind you if a certain Vikki Styles came up for sale........... 21. Keith, sorry to hear the news. I remember when I started collecting again we spent many times listening to tunes and I bought many unknowns from you that still grace my turntable today. Good luck in the future. I'll have a look at the site to see if there's anything I'm after. Regards Warren

Anyone got one for sale at £100. PM me. Warren
  23. Boogaloo replied to Gasher's post in a topic in Record Wants
Bought one off Arthur Fenn about a month ago for £40 (which I thought was slightly over the top) but the funny thing is I could have sold it easily twice since then for more than I paid. Maybe not rare but fits nicely into the scarce category. Warren
  24. Got this for sale VG++ for £200. Issue copy. Pm me if you're interested. Regards Warren
