Latin Soul
Not a problem, mate. They do say that plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery . Actually I'm going to hijack this again coz I'm looking for a copy of Tony Middleton's 'Return to Spanish Harlem'. Will go to £130ish for a mint copy. Anyone? By the way Mace any of Beggsy's playlists on soul source?

Blatant plug time, but if you're into Latin soul and Boogaloo and you're in London on Thursday I'm guesting at The Social where I'll be playing a full Latin set including most of the tunes listed above. Mark Raisin is the other guest so should be a stonkin' night. See ya there Warren Thursday November 8th @ The Social, 5 Little Portland St, London W1. Nearest Tube Oxford Circus (2/3 mins)

Ian Clark-top Man Or What
Without any disrespect to the other great djs at Yate I'd have to say the Clarkie was the Yate allnighter. Always had loads of new discoveries, had great taste in music - which is the mark of a great dj. Searling was Wigan Casino and the only dj to match him at the time, was Clarkie. He was actually one of the live acts I wanted to see at the Kent anniversary. Can't make the Yate anniversary as I'm running my night on Dec 1st but I'd seriously consider missing my own night to make it if he was playing. Can't say much more. Come back Clarkie - WE MISS YOU. Offers On Some Huge Items
Ted, your right. Both top offers were of the same value and I didn't think either would be increased so I admit I got greedy and sold it to the one offered first. Means that I got less than I would have if I had waited. Kicking myself so apologies given. Warren

Offers On Some Huge Items
It's in the same condition as when you sold it to me but I wouldn't have called it mint when I bought it off you - just shows how good my gradings are . Will be closing the offers at 12 midday tomorrow. I've had quite a few pms asking what particular records are going for but I'm not interested in playing bidders against each other so would advise that if you want a record that you place a bid. As I said earlier I'll offer a sound file to all winning bidders so you can hear before you buy. Cheers

Offers On Some Huge Items
HiyaThey all play great and look good too. I'm not selling any mminters coz they're out of my playbox but I don't think anyone will be disappointed. What i'll do is send the winning bidders a soundfile so they can hear the record before they buy. How's that for customer service.

Offers On Some Huge Items
Taken on board the comments on the gradings and have amended the original posting. All records are VG++ unless stated. Anyway if you're lucky and you don't think it comes up to scratch I'll offer a full refund and I'll pay the postage - can't say fairer than that. Regarding the comments about the way I'm doing this - I've sold records in the past to fund other sales - twice I've not got the record and lost good records in the process. Anyway if you don't want to bid - Don't. Lew Stanley's been selling like this for years and no one complains. I've had quite a few good offers but just to let you know there won't be any bargains from this list. Good luck all.

Offers On Some Huge Items
My number one want has come up for sale so I'm going to have to get rid of some of the items in my playbox. I'm taking offers on all of the ones below. I don't really want to sell any of these so serious bids only, also if I don't raise enough to buy the record I'm not selling anything. Bid what you want but I'm not going to be entering into dialogue with anyone over prices so I'll let the successful bids know how they've done next Saturday. If there are records that anyone knows I have but are not on the list below pm me and I'll consider them also. Am I A Bastard Or What?
Blimey, at least your wife asked for your opinion. First time I'd have seen them would be next to the receipt followed by the words "they're a real investment".

Joe Douglas
Don't want to interupt the playful banter of this thread but would like someone to definitively let me know whether this record has markings of originality. Can't find a mention in Manships bootleg book. Cheers Warren

Don't Laugh, Soul In Krakow
There are a couple of record shops there, took a bit of digging though. Went with Karen about 2 years ago - fab place. Picked up some soul and jazz (Garland Green, Blue Notes, Nat King Cole) most of the records were released on communist labels tho' - very weird.

Marcia Hines - You Gotta Let Go
When I say picture sleeve it's probably more accurate to say printed as there's no pictures on it. Both sides are written onto the sleeve in fancy red and black lettering with a little notice in the bottom right hand corner saying 'emissione speciale per disk jockey'. Bit like the Sam Fletcher picture cover. By the way I'm not offering it up for sale coz it also does the business when I get booked for weddings. Cheers Warren

Yep, also got the Abba version with picture sleeve. Mind you I do like a bit of Abba. Warren
