  3. Hiya all. I think I've replied to all those who've contacted me. I'll keep the offers open til Friday. Cheers
  4. Hiya y'all. I'm back and offering up some real juicy tunes for sale and offers. Reason for the sale is I'm financing a recent purchase so as soon as I've got my dosh I'll close the sale. The way it works is that I'll only list tunes that have sold when I've received the money. I'LL NOT BE HOLDING ANY TUNES so if you email and say you want it I'll let you know if anyone else has offered and then the first to get payment to me gets the record. I'll try to get back to people as quickly as I can but I've got a really busy week coming up so might be a bit delayed in replying. Any comments on the sales conditions, record gradings etc are not only welcome they're actively encouraged. All records are EX+ unless stated Offers (min offers in brackets) Montclairs - Hey you - Arch (600) Sugar and Spices - Have faith in me - Swan (250) Sammy Lee - What goes around - Promco (500) Martells - Where can my baby be - A La Carte - (650) Herb Ward - Strange change - Argo DJ (label a bit scuffy) - (250) Billy Hambric - She said goodbye - Drum - (200) Charles Lamont - Got to keep moving - Challenge - (200) Cory Blake - How can I go on - Capitol - (325) Set sale Carol Anderson - Sad girl - Fee - 150 Luther don't wanna be a fool - 100 Art Freeman - You got me uptight - vinyl looks a bit scruffy but plays great - 150 Johnny and Jake - I need you help baby - mod - 25 Blue Green - Can't hide it - Easters - 125 Mae Young - Let's give our love a try - Big Mack - 200 Judy Freeman - Hold on - RCA - 150 Jerry Cook I hurt on the other side - Capitol DJ - 100 Larry Atkins - Carbon Copy - Coral - 75 Bobby Hutton - Come see what's left of me - Philips DJ - 200 Betty Brooks - Funky Funky - Le Cam - 150 Vibrations - Cause you mine - Epic - 75 label has writing and looks worn Mary Lou Williams - You know baby - 275 sticker on label Patrice Holloway - Stolen hours - Capitol - 200 MVPs - Turning my heartbeat up - Muddah - 200 Four Pro's - Just another girl - Carla - 150 Red issue Rose St John - Fool don't laugh/I know the meaning - Veep DJ - 175 Wilie and the Mighty Magnificents - Check it baby - All Platinum - 300 Justin Jones - Dance by yourself - London UK issue - 200 George Perkins - Baby I love you - Royal Shield - 25 Dee Dee Sharp - Deep dark secret - Cameo DJ - 100 Syng McGowan - That's what I want - Hope - 200 Hytones - Good news - Kent 100 club anniv - 50 Linda Lloyd - Breakaway - Columbia DJ - 125 - cue burn on first 3 secs Pioneers - My good friend james - Mercury - 125
  5. Got a Charles Lamont for £150 in super dooper condition if you've not sourced one by now. You probably know this anyway but the Chicken and Booze is the B side to Pow Wow. Cheers Warren
  6. Hiya If you've not got one already, I've got a demo in super condition for £200. Pm me if you're interested.
  7. I'd love to know what the prices were from the last two weeks. I think John's missing a trick here on his auctions as the debate on prices always kept his auctions relevant for days afterwards. All a part of the folklore of Northern soul. Come on John, give us something to moan about every Wednesday night or we'll forget to tune in
  8. So what were the bloody ending prices then? I'd love to know.
  9. So what was sold then and how much?
  10. Carbon Copies - sold my granny to get that and there's been 3 in the last year Groovettes And now I see there's yet another bloody Eddie Parker for sale on ebay
  11. If you're not sorted by now I've got a yellow demo for sale in great condition for £219 Cheers Warren
  12. Tickets booked and ready to go. Don't care what he sings as I love the Latin Boogaloo, the Salsa and Mambo tunes and even his forage into Latin Funk. It's all gooooooood. Who's going on this Thursday night? Cheers Warren
  13. You should be able to get hold of this pretty easily as there seemed to be a glut of them a few years ago. Haven't seen it for sale for a while but if you don't get 'lucky' I've got one for sale for £200 in great condition. Cheers Warren
  14. You can have mine for £250 plus p+p. Well, it takes the guess work out of it, doesn't it.
  15. Could you survive without Northern Soul and Soul Source. I tell you what we'd all get a lot more work done.

    Just One

One on ebay as we speak.
  17. What's the going rate for this?
  18. You're right Dave. I need to get out more. Made the hairs stick out on the back of my head when I heard this and has just shot to the top of my 'Cheap as chips' list. Every home should have one.
  19. Just heard for the first time today off a list and immediately purchased. How come I've never heard this before. What a tune. Does anyone play it out? Cheers Warren 'Crossover's Champion' Boogaloo
  20. Correct. James has been playing it for at least 2 maybe 3 years.
  21. Still looking for this one. C/u for Mace and Andy Dyson. Anyone?
  22. Great point - and how many marriages have gone capput because of this obsession of ours, eh? Are we talking cost or value?
  23. Blimey, but there's a big difference between what someone values a record at (usually the dealer ) and what it actually sold for. Didn't the first release from the Sex Pistols go for something like that?
  24. In the answer to this question could the posters actually state their sources as proof that the transactions took place. There is always a bit of folklore plus chinese whispers about who paid what and when and where? Don't blues, doo-wop and Elvis tunes go for more?
  25. Mike and the mods - you should be ashamed of yourselves. This site has done more harm to worktime productivity than anything else - it's just sooooo adictive. Mucho thanks for all the hard work, stress and teeth gritting you do to keep us all active. The soul fraternity salute you all. Cheers Warren B
