  1. Value Village is a Canadian wide second hand shop chain, not a charity so they get to charge tax as well. I have picked up some decent records in the past and could not resist this for $2.
  2. Final show of the year always finds me dumping a load of stuff from the previous 12 months to the dealers. I managed to unload a box of Reggae/Island 45's (nothing to get excited about), a box of pop/rock/odds and ends 45's, a box of Reggae 12's (again, nothing exciting) and a box of rock albums. I did manage to get a couple of things, the best of which was a copy of Marv Johnson - Come On And Stop on Canadian United Artists. Also got a copy of Iris Harvey - Betrayed - Columbia promo but it has a crack that goes about 1/2" into the vinyl. You can hear a couple of clicks on the run in but it plays fine after that - but I dont actually like it that much having got it home and played it.
  3. ?!?!?! Do you have a link? I do not think I have seen a Canadian RCA demo from the 60's?

  12. Sorry, but I do have a vg copy if you get stuck
  13. The Soul Review appeared, minus Sharon Jones, at the Hamilton Super Crawl (a free art and music festival) in Hamilton, Ontario a month or so ago - excellent stuff
  14. Been here 15 years and found very few of the classic on Okeh, they have all been long gobbled up. Best so far is Investigate - Major Lance.
  15. Got the album on Canadian Epic if you want?
  16. Posted this on facebook awhile back. We went down to Ann Arbor on Friday for the northern night and on the way back I had arranged to visit an auction house in Windsor who had 9,000 45s for sale. Unfortunately 8,000 of these were country so I had to decline. Whilst looking through I picked out a few northern items and made a cheeky request to see if he would let me have a few. He said yes so I offered him $50 and got the following: Lee Barry - I Dont Need It - Downey promo The Contessas - I Keep On Keepin On - E Susan Coleman - Age Of The Wolf - Remmix Little Dooley - If Ever I Needed You - Koko Tawny Reed - My Heart Cried On - Congress promo and.... wait for it.... I was getting a bit worried when as he said - "well I do not really know what these are worth..." but, in the end he said OK Brooks Brothers - Looking For A Woman - Tay!!!
  17. I was offered one 2 weeks ago by a Toronto store owner for $900
  18. I don't think the Canadian Phil+la 45's are demo's. Canada issued a lot of 45's on white labels with no demo details. I can think of Curtom, Argo, Carla, the ones pictured, all white label. Just grabbed this as an example.
  19. $5 from the first record show of the fall (autumn to you) Great track listing from Mirwood
  20. I retract this statement, f**ked in Canada also
  21. Looks like ebay.co.uk only? I can get onto .com ok.
