With just around 8 events on in surrounding nearby areas,i have attended this from the very first one and it has gone on from strength to strength to the fact it today was packed to the rafters ,friendly happy go lucky atmosphere, music and FREE, the deejays did a splendid job of 'keeping the floor',Dave & Steve are doing a cracking job of filling this venue so if you are planning to get here i suggest getting there early to grab a seat and table with a guest on every month what more can you ask for ????? p.s well done to today's guest Tony cracking set

Only the 2nd one of this year we did not know what to expect but it was a great night over 75+ through the doors Andy Reedy kicking off the evening with tunes as lady,lady--producers etc people still entering the club, by 8pm we had 40 in ,next up was Wayne 'Shed' Butterworth with his usual foray into all things soulful next up was a mixed set from myself and Andy playing right across the board stuff,Toots & Maytalls,Al Capone ,Billy Ocean,Trammps,Martha & Vandellas,Spencer Davis,Ruby Andrews and all the usual northern/modern tracks which we filled the floor with,up next was our guest John Green whom played a subline set Temptations,Jack Montgomery to name a few floor fillers that he played in his hour long spot finally Wayne put the lid on the night with the final set of the evening which once again kept the floor busy so we look forward to our next night here on March 22nd, a big thanks go out to all involved to Tommy and his bar staff and to the paying public hope to see you again next month

well we didn't know what to expect on our first night, bit like a football season well in our case ,,,we needn't of worried we we busy from the off till we closed ,we also asked people if they enjoyed the night ..not a bad comment anywhere to be had except for Peter Percival on dog walking exploits .??? ,This club needs saving and Tony the steward/owner /guy who runs the venue ,is a very amicable chap, our next date and for the rest of the year are nearly set in stone .Wayne will be trawling through all this with guest Dj's in abundance,IF YOU MISSED THIS NIGHT PLEASE REARRANGE YOUR DIARY FOR FRIDAY NIGHT FROLICS kind regards Shed & Kopite ,big round of applause to Andy Reedy for his set too ,August date awaits

Well another hot day with some tunes abound at this johnnies first gig here and more to follow, excellent surroundings, reasonable priced refreshments lovely bar staff and greeted by to giggly girls whom took your entrance fee ,john kicked off with some sublime tunes right across the board stuff followed by the first amateur?? of the day EDDIE who also hit the spot with Sam Williams etc well done, Carole THEN FOLLOWED WHO DROPPPED SOME EXCELLENT TUNES FOR THE NEXT HOUR only to disappear to Macc to guest at another venue another worthy set, I DIDNT CATCH MUCH OF RON SET BUT WHAT I DID HEAR WAS EXCELLENT ,Marco followed with whom i travelled up here from deepest Manchester to support him and the others ,And as per norm his set was a mix of soul, northern and kicking in with big lee dowell set the ball rolling ,unfortunate for the last set we had to run for the train back all in all,a fantastic venue which should go from strength to strength a mere 4.00 to get in and if you have not got a residency anywhere get in touch with john to book your hours set and show you wares off ...a big pat on the back to all involved ...Steve
