Global records Mark, remember going there, seem to remember having to walk down stairs to a warehouse type building and having to knock at the door to ask to be let in to look through the records/lists.
  21. Hi Derek, seem to remember having this conversation with you a few times, think we even played the dramatics"your love was strange" back to back to compare, from memory the earlier release on blue volt was the stronger with a slightly hollow feel, the later one being a bit more produced, which is what seems to be the case with deon jackson "I can't go on" the carla release sounding the better of the two,the contempo release sounds slightly slower and with added girlie backing vocals. Just my opinion of course, anyone played nolan porter's classic "keep on keeping on" from the ABC album, seems to have a longer intro and guitar riffs than the lizard 45??
  22. WOW!! fascinating stuff mark, take it you mean the original expansions shop near the CIS on corporation street, remember the jack montgomery's on the weekly sales list circa 75-76 at 75p every week.
  23. not thinking of selling it at the minute, fantastic memories of her signing it for me after her appearance at the fleetwood weekender, thought writing on the label was a thing that de-valued UK releases??
  24. yeah they were £20 each ted, think they started at £10 each but rocketed to £20 as it started to get plays, lol
