    had radio five on in the cab today....then an advert came on...guitar playing in the background to the ad. Thing is the guitar sounded just like the guitar bit at the beginning of Thee Midnighters - Gonna Make Me Cry :D , just the guitar over and over...it sounded som m uch like that I started singing the record :D badly of course :D

    Hi Chalky, embarrassed I think I know the record you mean,charlotte church's latest offering guitar intro is identical to the midniters,mind you I always think the intro to madness "my girl's mad at me "is a dead ringer for the volumes "ain't gonna give you up" sent you the money for the passes today

    the only instrumental I recall Bob playing was the classic oldie G Davies +R Tyler (parlo)"hold on help is on the way" hope that helps

    Dont know if The Stranger was on a compilation album Brett but its certainally on The Nitty Gritty on UK (S)TML 11135 by Gladys Knight and the Pips.

    Superb track.

    The Marvelettes also did a version of The Stranger on Their album Sophisticated soul but this is nowhwere near as good as the Gladys Knight version

    This topic has brought up an old question of mine......Was the Gladys Knight track "Stranger" only available on that Motown compilation (name escapes me), i ask because an age ago someone told me it was, think the guys/girls on here will let me know.

    have you tried putting in a plasticcentre or spider as we call it in the trade,you need to find which part is off centre,click the adaptor in and file out a piece on the opposite side,you need a tiny file to do this,failing all of this,ask for a refund

    prefer "Freedom of the mind", but yes, 'sunshine is a tune'.

    I put 'sunshine' on a tape for a 45 only collecter some years back and covered it as Voices of East Harlem!, still haven't told him! :thumbsup: .

    My j-bridge LP track-'so glad you came along' plays very qiute!, does yours?

    Hi,thanks for the kind words,glad you enjoyed it,the show itself is hosted by Ian Obeng,hopefully we'll be back on in the near future,it was a good laugh,hopefully it came across that way,as Mandy said Derek does a monthly show on bradford community radio, I'm hoping to do a guest spot with him in the next month or two,I'm sure it will get posted up on to the site
