  7. I was lucky enough to DJ at the Old Bell at Barmby Moor Weekender in one of the saturday afternoon sessions 2006 I think? Great times. We went to all the venues that Lifeline ran at The Fox was a hell of a drive from the North West, enjoyed The Stables but I think Sheridans was my favourite of the all the venues they ran from !!

  13. Fantastic double sider me and Simon can play a side each
  14. Well we promised some mouth watering guest DJ's this year and we look forward to Ted Massey as our special guest in March. The door price has gone up slightly as you may or not know the bar staff are volunteers and we felt it only right and fitting that they get paid so admission is now £5 which is still comparatively cheap. While we're making requests here's mine Ted
Well yet another great night at the Ukrainian Club, some more new faces which is great to see. The real plus is the varied play list by all the DJs all bringing something different to the dancefloor. Back behind the decks and not before time, one of the original DJs Brian Lester, he looked to be having a ball! Following on our main man Chris Churm played the usual high quality mix of styles and tempos The Philharmonics as a finishing record was a real nice touch!! My good friend Dave Lowe was making his debut and WOW!! What a set a real across the board selection a few R+B moovers and the dancefloor loved it and how good did Raphael Saddique "love that girl" sound!! Dave will be definitely back in the not too distant future I'm sure Simon Ingham followed, what can I say mouth watering selections Hayes Cotton "black wings" Versatones "rolling rolling" and one of my all time favourites still sounding the business Earnestine Eady "let's talk it over" and current motown dance floor fave "Soul Master" Edwin Starr "I just wanted to cry" Rounding the night off in fine style John (slipmat) Hillel "Mixed feelings "sha la la" lit up the dancefloor Grey Imprint "do you get the message" and many more!! Great to see the Lancaster/Morecambe crew in full effect and nice speaking Sean!! Stop Press : Rumour has it John Hillel is still behind the decks as I type repeatedly uttering "Just one more record" Yes nothing gets past S+M promotions The next date March 19th is looking like a real special event Ted Massey will be our guest DJ Nigel Rothwell, left this review on facebook, thanks Nigel What a great night, after taking a wrong turning off the motorway and ending up in the middle of Manchester in a traffic jam and 45 mins late finally arrived. Things could only get better. Said hello to some familiar faces that I hadn't seen since before lockdown then into main room, packed but found somewhere to park my drink & coat. Managed to get the last 15mins of Chris Churms set. Stand out tune for me and one of my favourites to get the night started for what was to be a great night was Bonnie Blanchard & Andy Aaron And The Mean Machine. Next to hit the decks was 1st guest Dave Lowe and didn't disappoint playing another great set of rare soul, modern and some floor fillers. Next to hit the decks was 2nd guest Simon Ingham playing another great set that again didn't disappoint. Floor was busy allnight. John Hillel finished off proceedings another great set playing oldies & modern. Some big ticket tunes and some obscure tunes played by all DJ's Something for everybody.

  17. Hot off the press one of the original DJs and promotors Brian Lester is back behind the decks for the first hour and will be treating us to some of the pearls from his collection, here's one he's looking forward to playing !!

  19. Detroit Dynamite and another that lit the dancefloor up at the anniversary!!
  20. Well after our January anniversary blow out session and such a short run up to saturday's date, the feedback and response has been staggering.
