Yes Mick, great choice still sounds brilliant. I was just checking the play box for potential spins to fit the remit of lesser known, rare & underplayed soul and this one definitely fits the bill. Jesse Slaughter "I had a dream" what a record.
Love it mate,great choice!!

When Soul Sam DJ'd at Culcheth last time he played The Timeless Legend to a packed dancefloor.
We know it can be played in either room but will it. Just for fun will it be
A, Played in 1 room,
B Played in both rooms
C Played in neither room.
You'll have to be there to find out.

It would be a shame to miss it - we've only managed to post about 5% of potential spins from 6 hours in 2 rooms, so there's a full 95% to go at yet!
For me the idea is to give folk a taste of the sort of thing they may expect to hear on the night which I find more useful than simply advertising "Northern" or "across the board" or 60s & 70s etc. etc.
Try before you buy!! Works for me anyway

That would be brilliant and just up the road from that epic night in November at The Orwell reunion

I first heard Mick play this one many years ago at Bury and it has since become a massively in-demand floorfiller, and I'm pretty sure it will played on the night. Get ready for the stampede to the dancefloor!

Hi Mick,
Sorry mate but I don't have Liz Verdi anymore, I think Les played it at Culcheth last time out.
On one of my few visits to Manchester's Global Records in the mid 70's Rick highly recommended this piece of soulful perfection that had just arrived in store, Skip Jackson "I'm on to you girl" and most definitely one for such a grand occasion as the Ukrainian Clubs 5th anniversary
Yeah still got my copy probably a bit more than the price you probably paid, classy early 70s dancer

Not heard Bob play this one for a while!!

Top Drawer Line up with two of the main stays on the rare soul scene from The Halcyon days Soul Sam and Pep. Can't wait to see the place after the refurb.
