One year on from the re-launch of Ashton Ukrainian Club, we celebrate in fine style with a top quality duo of Guest DJs Ted Massey back for his second stint behind the decks, his set earlier this year got rave reviews and rightly so. Joining us for his debut set all the way from Jollyhead Mr Steve Thomas, dance floor mayhem guaranteed!!! Phil Dunn kicks the night off with the usual mixed bag of seldom played oldies and a few left field things. Myself and Chris Churm complete a pretty special line up, for your dancing feet!! This saturday October 15th is the date for your diary, just £5 admission, pay on the door and the night runs 7.30pm-00.30 with the usual stampede of eager beavers, early arrival is a MUST!! Simon Ingham and Darren Carroll will be front of house, as usual holding court in the lounge area, banter and stories a plenty , as usual our inhouse speakers mean you won't miss a beat !! Our list of first time attendees grows bigger every month, it really is THE place to be on the third saturday in the month, see you there!!!

After an outstanding September event at Ashton Ukrainian Club, we look forward with just two weeks to go to the Return of Special Guest DJ Ted Massey, if that wasn't enough winging his way down the M56 from Jollyhead we welcome for his debut Mr Steve Thomas. Saturday October 15th is the date for your diary. Lots of interest already for two outstanding DJs looks like standing room only, so PLEASE arrive early as a busy night is expected!! Add to this "Anchor Man" Phil Dunn starting the night off as ever, Ukrainian Club Supremo Chris Churm and myself and I think you'll agree a pretty amazing line up! All this for just £5 admission pay on the door (how do we do it?) The night runs 7.30pm-00.30 See you there!!!

Deffo THE place to be, on the first saturday in the month. Usually a strong contingent in anyway from North Wales. The arrival of Steve Thomas behind the decks will only increase the amount of travellers making the journey down the M56, looks like a busy one, get there early folks!!
-
He's otherwise occupied today on two wheels round a track, normal service will be resumed real soon!!

Two top drawer guest DJs the return of Ted Massey and the Welsh Wizzard Steve Thomas. Going to be another busy one, can't wait!!

Well that went waaay beyond expectations, what a great venue for The Paul Harris memorial alldayer!! We arrived just after 4pm and the place was already buzzing!! I'm pretty sure Paul would have loved yesterday, re-igniting the flame for those heady nights at Pauls "Bradford Rare and underplayed soul nights and who knows, we may do this again sometime eh Janette ?? As you would expect the music was top drawer throughout the day, hats off to Steve Andrew's sound system, sounded the business. With over £1000 raised for RSPCA Rochdale branch. It was great to see Paul's partner David and Paul's sisters and meet up with people who I personally haven't seen for over 10 years!! My mate Harry loved it, travelling down from Darlo to pay his respects, he loved it so much we had to shoe horn him out of the car(good stuff that stella) lol I'm sure there will be a lot of pics from the day, please feel free to share on here!!

Ashton Ukrainian Club September 17th WOW!! Running out of superlatives for this great little club. It just gets better every month!! Phil Dunn started the night off with a nice mix of classic rare soul. That man Robbo up next, he came, he saw, he delivered in spades. Starting off in beat ballad heaven George Freeman "down and out" Jack Montgomery "don't turn your back on me", fire lit with the dancers and we were off, too many gems to mention, top drawer sir!! Tony Mac followed and for me personally played the spot of the night. In fact it was Tony who got me back on this musical journey 89/90 at a local do in not so sunny Heywood British Legion I think, which re-ignited the spark. A few recent acquisitions hit the spot, Otis Lee, Falcons and many many more, great mix of styles and tempos, take a bow mate. Gibby and Colin Wood or was it John Hillel lol Johnny slipmat you have serious competition lol .Joking aside really enjoyable 90 mins double decking. Wilson Williams the tune of the spot. We even had Matthew Simpson dancing to a James Brown record!! The maestro Mr Chris Churm rounded the last 30 mins in style, with one of my all time favourite enders to finish a great night. The Dells "make sure" pure goose bumps!! Lots more new faces once again and another full house, just WOW!! Check out the events page on here and soul-source for details of the October Event, when we welcome back Ted Massey and Welsh Wizzard Steve Thomas, can't wait!!!

Judging by the response so far, it's looking like we'll do our good friend Paul proud!! People travelling from far and wide for a very worthy cause and not least in memory of one of the scene's genuine guys. See you there!!
