I used to pester richard searling to play this at the casino,he always said it would have it's day, that was 1975 though ,isn't the lead singer doris duke?Yep. Same take. I think Soul Time's long deleted now but the Blackpool Mecca CD's still available. Worth buying for that track alone.

great fun,the hour just flew by and derek was on time,WOW!!!! hopefully if Mr Pearson is still in one piece after his trek across morecambe bay,the show will be uploaded onto the siteDerek Pearson & guest DJ Mick Howard
Shades Of Soul 21.00-22.00pm.
Bradford Community Based Radio BCB106.6FM
Blimey I've lost count of the number of times tonight's guest DJ has graced the airwaves of Bradford and beyond. It's the return of Mick Howard from Heywood into the surrounds of studio 2 - he's been here that often he's got a chair in the studio with his name on the back. And when he arrives at the station other staff members call out "Hey up Mick how's it going - are you having a coffee".
As I get older I seem to get more and more things slightly confused especially with records an' stuff. Whereas he's the opposite - his mind and memory recall seems to get sharper hahaha.........
Fasten your seat belts and await 60 minutes of the good groove. It could go anywhere and often does.
Expect the weird. Expect the wonderful.
And as usual if you're interested in hearing the show live there's 2 ways to go about it - first try the good old 106.6FM frequency on your radio if you live within roughly 10 miles of the studio and secondly through the wonders of the world wide web www.bcbradio.co.uk
Onwards,
Derek
All Era's. All styles. All over the place. And you know it.
