A recent addition to my sets at Culcheth - mileage in this one methinks?, it wasn't included on the UK Cream Label issue in 1976 as the production team only had the 8 track tape of the flip "It Will Be Done".
Yeah interesting background on that release from Rick Cooper

Deffo THE place to be, on the first saturday in the month. Usually a strong contingent in anyway from North Wales. The arrival of Steve Thomas behind the decks will only increase the amount of travellers making the journey down the M56, looks like a busy one, get there early folks!!

I told Moe I wanted Something to brag about and before I could say by Joe Douglas she said and so did I but I ended up with you, the cheeky b*st*rd.
I'm here all week.
Robbo sometimes plays the flipside Crazy things which I prefer actually, I think it suits his vocal better but what do I know.
PS I'm sending out a search party for Simon AKA Eddie Foster.
He's otherwise occupied today on two wheels round a track, normal service will be resumed real soon!!

Two top drawer guest DJs the return of Ted Massey and the Welsh Wizzard Steve Thomas. Going to be another busy one, can't wait!!

Can only echo what many have already said I feel very honoured to be playing a few records in remembrance of such a well loved truly nice Kind warm hearted gentleman always honest and truthful told it how it was but oh so funny at times , made me laugh so many times one regarding a rubber suit , I’ll say no more apart from he never batted an eye lid when telling me , I was nearly on the floor in bits , It will be a great day remembering a very genuine guy and also a big thanks for the people who have organised all this truly inspirational you have really done both paul and yourselves proud very well done bless you !!
Hats off to Janette for putting this all together. Happy to play a small part in the proceedings. I think we all have our recollections of Paul and his wicked sense of humour. Still hard to believe and miss our phone calls, he would have me in stitches. Still have a few of my purchases from Paul in my collection, pretty certain one or two will get a spin on this momentous occasion, see you there!!

As we approach the end of summer, the sunshine feeling keeps burning strong at Ashton Ukrainian Club. Saturday September 17th brings another great night in prospect!!
Joining Phil Dunn and our main man Chris Churm this month we welcome one of the scene's best loved characters Robbo for his debut behind the decks and a welcome return for Tony Mac and coming over 't hill from that there Yorkshire Gibby and Colin Wood to complete another quality line up.
The bar was set high in August with an amazing night, that ticked all the boxes (no pressure guys) lol
The night runs 7.30pm-00.30 admission just £5 pay on the door.
Amazing feedback and anticipation already for the place that's becoming THE place to be on the third saturday in the month.
As ever early arrival is highly recommended, see you there!!

The Gambrells rarity wise it's not in the same league as Billy Woods but normally there's 4 copies of "You better move" in the Dj's boxes at Culcheth, and I thought these records were meant to be rare. lol
Good chance it will get a spin on Saturday then

Mean moody mid tempo, just how we like it, the elusive 45 as a possible spin from Mr Ingham??

Premier League Detroit !! Album tracking and a really nice take on the Tony Hestor Classic!!

Given the popularity on the dancefloor for The Dynells, this is deffo worthy of a spin

Perfect for the main room, criminally underplayed oldie with a non too shabby flip "I ain't playing baby", which I think was the original more preferred side

After an outstanding September event at Ashton Ukrainian Club, we look forward with just two weeks to go to the Return of Special Guest DJ Ted Massey, if that wasn't enough winging his way down the M56 from Jollyhead we welcome for his debut Mr Steve Thomas. Saturday October 15th is the date for your diary.
Lots of interest already for two outstanding DJs looks like standing room only, so PLEASE arrive early as a busy night is expected!!
Add to this "Anchor Man" Phil Dunn starting the night off as ever, Ukrainian Club Supremo Chris Churm and myself and I think you'll agree a pretty amazing line up!
All this for just £5 admission pay on the door (how do we do it?) The night runs 7.30pm-00.30
See you there!!!
