A Big Weekend on the horizon, lots going on in the Soul Calendar AND we're three years in since our October 2021 re-launch at Ashton Ukrainian Club. WOW!! three years has absolutely flown by!!!

A Top Quality DJ line up awaits The Ashton Faithful, this Saturday October 19th as our thanks for your unwavering support!!

Phil Threlfall has been in touch and looks like we're in for a memorable night, some high quality tunes Grumpy Soul Style along with another former Grumpy Resident Jumping Joan. Dance Floor Space will be a valuable commodity!!

Add to that Tim Ashibende with all the Sounds that have the indefinable "it" factor from The Halcyon Days up to present day!!

Talking of Halcyon Days Ashton Regular and former Mr M's Resident Ian Wills will be making his debut, I know he's keen to dig deep into his collection, with one eye firmly on the dancefloor.

Please check back regularly on the Thread, for some Amazing DJ selections, feel free to RSVP the event, as so many have already done!!

Team Ukrainian mainstays Phil Dunn and Chris Churm complete a stunning line up, for all tastes!! The night runs 7pm-00.30 and just £5 gets you through the doors and yes, we've already been asked about reserving a table lol

Seriously wherever your travels take you, have a great time, see you on the dance floor, it's going to be special!!

Sticking with Ian Wills selections. The Latter years at Wigan as well as unearthing new 60s discoveries, storming 70s dancers like this were rubbing shoulders, to equal effect on the dancefloor!!!

Ian Wills is probably better known, as one the residents in Mr M's at Wigan, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the c/u's of the time. Here's one of the lesser known spins from the later years, still sounding the business!!

Into the final few days and lots of interest, as you would expect with this line up, talking to people, out and about at the weekend!!

We look forward to Ian Wills, digging deep into his collection, pulling out mid tempo gems like this!!

In keeping with the Ashton Ethos, as well as the big money rarities solid bargain basement groovers like this will be show cased. Here's one of the worlds finest male vocal groups, which regularly features in Joan's DJ sets!!

I rather think that it'll be a great night of quality music, where all the DJs will compliment each other than some kind of competition Mick, they all have something special to bring to the table

Yeah Tim always has a few surprises

Looking forward to Ian Wills spot, digging to the back of the box

Would I be correct in thinking Tommy Turner's still in Simon's playbox,

As Derek Pearson correctly identified Tommy Turner had two releases on the label, with one letter different in the title, but a major difference in value!!!

Eager anticipation awaits for Tim Ashibende's  return behind the decks, always ready to spring a few surprises and of course a healthy nod to the past, with classic Detroit Dancers like this!!
