MY CONCLUSION on this weeks auction are in reverse order : - 3 : There are a lot of people with money to throw away . 2 : There are a lot of people with no knowledge about what they are bidding / buying . 1 : There are a lot of people with lots of money and knowledge BUT unfortunately got. .   9. I remember buying the "Phyllis Briggs " off Dave for £ 50 the label though was'nt the RED / WHITE design . On the EVIL LEVEL it was right up there ! Had to send it back straight away ............be alright for the funky soul boys of today especially if they have a bad hearing problem ............COULD GO MASSIVE .
  10. Are you sure it's Phylis Smith ? I know there was a Phylis Briggs. F/W acetate different take to ". I BEAR WITNESS " & THE DONTELLS whisper that to me acetate . Also found by Dave ....The Dynamic Sibblings I BEAR WITNESS / CAN'T TURN MY BACK ON YOU all found around the same time Simon .   15. Looks to me like a WEST COAST press which has that "white circle ABC " same as Eddie Bishop , Joey Gee etc.....slightly harder to obtain I would say , but hey what do I Know ...............F.ALL
  16. NOT FORGETTING ...........Sam and Dave " lotta lovin' ( ALSTON ) 777 early light blue label , first played off a non credited acetate as THE SHORT KUTS around the mid 80ts turned out to be Sam and Dave.............C R A Z Y .
  17. Came out on TWO different issues ! Blue label black text / Blue label dark blue text . Got both I'll try and scan them for you.....but don't hold your breath I'm a victim of the modern age .
  18. I'M FAIRLY SURE HE'S ON DAY RELEASE FROM " RUTLAND LUNATIC ASYLUM " .
  19. Playing the " Go Gate " copy and 80 's bootleg copy side by side there's slight difference on sound quality . The bootleg is slightly muffled and not as clear as the original press which is a very clear recording and sounds GREAT .
