Is Playing A Boot At A Venue Ever Acceptable
What happens if a DJ does play a bootleg, are the Soul Police called and the offender banned from DJ'ing for a while or fined (or both)

How Should A Record Be Packed?
Craig Moerer records are expertly packaged from the USA, head and shoulders above everyone else for me personally.

Which Northern Track You Dislike The Most
George Lemons is absolutely the worst record ever committed to vinyl, think of the worst X Factor audition ever and Lemons still lags behind.

Happy Cats-Destroy That Boy?
Was it not from the same master tapes that John Anderson got with Betty Boo tracks etc

Can Anyone Tell Me Why?
Let's put it this way,i would rather listen to blue eyed soul music allday long than most of the crap played under the guise of R & B,loads of pr*cks acting highbrow when deep down they know it is mainly garbage, ditto 99% of Crossover,Popcorn and which ever new pathetic name has cropped up to describe records that didn't make it first time around for a good reason, they are sh*t.
-
Can Anyone Tell Me Why?
I totally agree Dave, some of the R & B is nothing less than black Rock & Roll and C & W, some of it is about as relevant to soul music as Girls Aloud.

Contours "hit And Run"
I prefer the one with Billy Gordon on lead vocal, it just shades the Dennis Edwards led one for me,i don't think i've heard the other.

Grapevine - (Label Of The Week)
I would agree with those 5 choices, Dena Barnes is nearly always touted as the most difficult for some reason.
-
Grapevine - (Label Of The Week)
Thank you Brian & Kevin.
-
Grapevine - (Label Of The Week)
Cheers Brian, they sound very dubious, anyone could put a sticker on a Dena Barnes issue and claim it as a demo,it is for my pals benefit,he has almost collected the entire Grapevine set on demo's,he wants to be 100% sure he is getting demo copies.
-
Grapevine - (Label Of The Week)
Cheers Glyn, do you know if the ones that didn't have the demo A on ie. Dena Barnes still had 'Demonstration copy not for sale' written on the label.
-
Grapevine - (Label Of The Week)
OK cheers, but why did this record differ from others with the normal black A on other demo's.
-
Grapevine - (Label Of The Week)
Were there any Grapevine that didn't have demo copies, i recall somebody saying that Dena Barnes doesn't exist in demo form, apparently there were attempts at making issues look like demos by putting a false white A in centre, can anybody help?
